What are your hopes for the large update coming to Stardew soon? I'd like to see:
>A use for large quantities of slime, to justify the slime hutch >A use for cloth and gems beyond gifting/selling >A means of mass seeding, so that I can actually plow and seed my entire farm on Spring 1st without running out of time >Some long term community development projects, using materials that are difficult to acquire in bulk such as Hardwood or forage >More areas to visit via bus
I'm not really sure what other community development projects are needed. But building a house for Pam was nice and there is the defunct Joja Mart which could be re-purposed. I've gone full autism in anticipation of this update and have filled multiple chests with resources that can't be acquired quickly on the fly such as seasonal fish/forage, bars, gems, animal products, etc. Basically anything with processing time. I even have 1500 Hardwood. I'm sure 99% of it will be useless but I like to grind away at autistic shit like this while watching TV.
Forgot to mention new skills. Particularly, an enchanting or magic type of skill to which the wizard or witch could introduce you. I know there's already a mod for this but it kinda sucks.
Cameron Bell
Growing WEEEEEEEED.
Jordan Hill
There's already a mod for that dude lmao
Oliver Sullivan
They should put it in the base game. And give Sebastian his bong back. Doesn't make sense they took it out. I mean they have no problem with dudes smoking cock, why do they have a problem with dudes smoking weed.
Nathaniel Parker
>posts over two month ago that 1.4 update is almost done. >making us wait till busted game is lunched on other consoles before releasing update.
Anthony Stewart
the joja story stuff was stupid, just remove it. id rather have the town be old and busted and you move in and use all your farming money to slow build it up into a nice little touristy town where you can sell all your farming products by running a shop in town instead of just tossing stuff in a magic bin. your spouse can run the shop and generate money while you do the farming and as the town gets bigger the rest of people's business grow, pam can still drive the bus, and you can make town nicer and nicer and pick how you want all the buildings to look and change the looks of them as much as you want.
Gabriel Bailey
So overhaul the game entirely? I think you're expecting too much.
Cooper Morgan
I don't even mind that the update is taking this long. But not revealing anything about it because you want to "wait until the console updates are working" is fucking retarded. It wouldn't take any time for him to release a list of features but instead he's waiting for updates he has outsourced to another company to be completed.
Jaxon Reed
Get cucked, peeseethers
Jayden Watson
Marriable Jas and something to do after 3+ years
Angel Morales
Isekai Stardew Valley, where the Wizard has a portal that sends you into another world of elves and dwarves and fairies. And then you C U L T I V A T E
Austin Perry
honestly, more shit to do than "complete the community center one time then never play again". also the game needs variety from year to year. after you've played a year through it's just the same shit every year. more abilities/traits to choose when you lvl up skills. more content and reasons to explore the map in general. you eventually get to a point where you're in one of 3 places at all times >the mines >your farm >in town buying shit you need for one of the above 2
In Stardew valley everyone is getting cucked nigger
Adam Hughes
Sorry, I didn't realize you were one of those people. Stay mad, retard.
Joseph Jones
I got this game because I wanted something comfy but after the first year it just feels like a chore because there's so much shit I have to constantly do with the clock and it isn't comfy anymore
Evan Myers
>go into game blind >think it might be a decent harvest moon clone >game starts and cute red head carpenter greets me with mayor >she's married >all characters are shit >game feels like guy didnt know what to do and let retards handle NPCs.
Cooper Murphy
The only stress is feeling like you aren't progressing fast enough. I found that by the second year is when it starts taking off since you can plan accordingly. My only wish was that I could grow hops all year round so I can spend every waking moment getting pissed off my own homebrew.
Andrew Jenkins
That's kinda a weird, because improvement of your sprinklers generally gives you more time each day the longer the game goes on.
Camden Martin
I can see it becoming overwhelming if you are having to juggle feeding animals, building relationships, mining, fishing and watering your crops to maximise your efforts across the board. Once you have the capital to automate the process then the game becomes easier but by that point most of the fun is gone since you can just fart around for the rest of the day until you need to harvest and replant your crops.
Ethan Watson
Sure but you have all of those responsibilities early game as well, without the aid of nice sprinklers. I've just never known anyone to feel like they have LESS time for activities as they progress.
How many days does it take for you to replant your shit per season?
Adrian Baker
If I plan it before hand and don't check on my other stuff and animals I can make that in one day, but it feels a bit stressful to be honest.
Leo Moore
i am a new player, my problem is how to control myself from cheating which surely will cause no fun
Adrian Baker
Mine isn't visually well constructed, but I have a lot of artistic shit in the sheds. The bottom left section is called "Trouble in Terror Town" and contains the languid library, reptile retreat, witch's wain, and dapper descent. The shed in the bottom right is the spook shack, where my knights worship senor toadsworth who is protected by his blobpriests. Meanwhile, in the upper left we have neighbourly nope alongside the groove gambit ritual fire. The non-animal barns are either full of kegs or crystalariums.
And that is without fertilizer right? Having to put down Speed-Gro for that extra 25% boost to growth is a pain in the ass on my little lot so I can't imagine it being any better on your industrial tier operation.
Jaxson Cruz
And just as an example, here's the spook shack, groove gambit, spooky skeletons, and neighbourhood nope. The kids never use the skeleton viewing chair because they're autistic, but they stand in front of it sometimes.
Benjamin Cook
Yeah, I'm not even bothering with fertilizer. I can make enough money without it. And once one of the crops is done and I plant new ones I sometimes use some fertilizer then.
Isaac Morris
>tfw mine is overgrown with oak trees because I need dat resin My wines aren't going to ferment themselves.
Hudson Diaz
also i am stucked in planning the final farm layout, i am too stubborn
Austin Ross
Yeah Concerned Ape should really hire some writers
Luke Stewart
Oh shit, some us what's inside man, now I'm curious.
Well aside from , this is trouble in terror town. Dapper Descent is named as such because the dining seats are cacti, implying a descent into depravity.
This is the exterior, with some of the townsfolk pictured. I wish the fucking trees that were originally arranged didn't keep reproducing but there's nothing I can do about that.
I must be too much of a jew because all I can see here is wasted potential profit. All that space could have been used for making money nigga.
Charles Richardson
Nice, mine are all just practical. I like what you done with the places.
Isaac Williams
I have 30 million and hundreds of every item. I have like 500 kegs in my quarry. I don't see the need for more money and I don't think I can be bothered making enough kegs to accommodate turning my entire farm into ancient fruit despite the fact that my entire train station is an oak resin farm.
While I think your farm looks nice, how can you stand to harvest crops manually when slave huts now exist?
Gavin Hall
I have it on switch
Grayson Diaz
I really want to have zoned fishing zones in the farm. Like a map that for no reason has ocean and river fish in the farm. I wanted to do a playthrough where I focused on fishing for money but when I realized it was all lake fish in the farm I gave up. Also probably a patch that makes the permanent teleport items a lot cheaper. Cant see a way to use them before you are finished with literally everything possible in the game. More endgame content, profit milestones to hit that unlock stuff(new dungeons, new crops, new NPCs). I really liked the one playthrough of SD I did, but once I realized how to get max money output at endgame the facade completely fell away and I stopped treating the game as it was meant to be and just focused on getting cash and finishing off the platinum.
Caleb Robinson
Trick is to upgrade all your tools in Winter, and do cave exploring.
Josiah Ortiz
I have it on the bone
Andrew Flores
The upper fields were leftover from when I started, they were originally 3x3 sprinklers and then I converted them, I suppose I could have axed the sap area and make another big hut field, but I was at the end of year 2 at that point and was burnt out on the game. I never really minded manual harvesting, I'd just plant the long-growth crops there (like melons or whatever) that you only harvest twice a season anyways.
