Could I get some feedback on my human warrior weapon upgrade plans? Your weapon matters a lot for warriors, especially for Vanilla/ Classic, so I'm trying to plan ahead and never let my weapon become an obsolete piece of dead weight.

So far my plan entails:
>Obtain the silver needed to buy a Two-Handed Sword (the named item) to upgrade in the starting zone. It does (8 - 13 Damage) classic.wowhead.com/item=2489/two-handed-sword
>At 10 do the Defensive Stance class quest, begin using the one-hander it rewards alongside the best shield you can find, even if that's just a shitty vendor shield like a Dull Heater Shield.
>Begin doing Darkshore quests, earn the Woodsman Sword that does (34 - 52 Damage, +2 AGI, +5 STAM) around level 12-14ish.
>Do more Darkshore quests, finish The Tower of Athalaxx and upgrade to Seraph's Strike: (54 - 81 Damage, +10 Spirit, +3 STR.)
>Start running Deadmines around level 17+, it has (55 - 83 Damage, +11 STR, +4 AGI) and will last a good while.
>In low to mid 20's start running Blackfathom Deeps for Strike of the Hydra (67 - 102 Damage + a DoT and armor-reduction proc.)
>In late 20's/ early 30's try to find a Razorfen Kraul group for Corpsemaker (88 - 132 Damage, +15 STR, +8 STAM)
>Upgrade from that the second Whirlwind Weapon is complete and the Whirlind Axe is yours (102 - 154 Damage, +15 STR, +14 STAM)
>Upgrade to Bonebiter in mid-to-late 30's via Scarlet Monastery questing runs (105 - 159 Damage, +20 STR, 10 STAM)
>Start running Uldaman in the early-to-mid 40's, pray Archaedas drops the Stoneslayer (133 - 200 Damage, Chance on hit: Increases damage by 10 for 8 sec.), but welcome him dropping the Rockpounder as well, since it has (126 - 190 Damage, +2% crit, +5 STR) and is plenty respectable even if it's the worse of Archaedas' two weapons.

I'm not entirely sure what would be a good upgrade from that point on, but I'm currently considering Princess Theradras' Scepter, the Lavastone Hammer, and the Blackrock Slicer.

Still, there might be a worthwhile midstep in there so I should probably consider the level late 40's and early-to-mid-50's a bit more in terms of weapon choices, since I can't even equip an Arcanite Reaper until 58.

I was simply implying that you're far better off looking for the answers elsewhere. You don't realize that already? Never take any advice from Yea Forums when it comes to le gaming. I know, it's why I did most of my own research for that list. It's fine if people didn't want to read it, the TL;DR of my ramble was simply:

Yeah, that would've been my answer to this without asking Yea Forums if it were available at launch. But, it's not so I'm trying to think of alternatives. You're not wrong though, that thing's stupid good for how easy it is to get, let alone how early on you can obtain it.

there's dreadforge retaliator, if you're with a guild or some adventurous people I wouldn't be surprised at being able to get through BRD at low-mid 50s, this ain't 2005 anymore, etc

I warriored back then and obviously didn't really have a 'plan', but I really don't remember anything from that level range past Uldaman that really stood out

my favorite that I remember picking up was malown's slam, but that's 58 too

Alright, I've done enough research now to where I think I can answer my own question. After Stoneslayer I will use one of the five following weapons until I can afford an Arcanite Reaper:

Option 1: Dreadforge Retaliator dropped by Dagran Thaurissan in Blackrock Depths. 225 max damage, +30 Attack Power, +1% Crit, and +1% Parry as a joke bonus for shits and giggles, but it probably does help a little with health management while doing quests with it equipped.

Option 2: Slavedriver's Cane dropped by Ramstein in Stratholme. 241 max damage + 29 STR.

Option 3: Malown's Slam dropped by Postmaster Malown in Stratholme. 238 max damage + a proc that boosts the wielder's strength by +50.

Option 4: Seeping Willow from The Beast in Upper Blackrock Spire. 233 max damage, and it has a proc that triggers for AoE poison damage over time on all enemies around the target, as well as debuffing all said poisoned enemies for -20 in All Stats, which is a dream come true AoE debuff to provide for a group.

Option 5: Barbarous Blade from Gordok in Dire Maul. 207 max damage, +60 Attack Power, and +1% Crit chance

Overall I have plenty of options now that I've done my research, so okay, cool. This will tide me over until I get an Arcanite Reaper, and the Reaper will carry me through to raid weapons like the Obsidian Edged Blade in time. You know, when I happen to be DPSing instead of tanking in raids, since I intend to mostly tank at max level. Alright, I now have all of my major weapon upgrades from 1-60 thought of and I have contingencies in mind for if boss drop RNG fails me. Thanks for the help you all provided.

I did, and I have contingencies in mind planned with weapons like the Silver Spade from Stranglethorn Vale quests if I'm unable to get a Strike of the Hydra or Corpsemaker for myself, and how I similarly might buy or craft a Solid Iron Maul for myself if I'm unable to get Smite's Mighty Hammer. I have backup options in mind, don't worry, these are just target upgrades that I want to keep in mind if my weapon ever starts feeling outdated while leveling.
