Well there's your problem, the easiest way to kill White Fatty is just stick close to it, preferably between or behind its hind legs.
Honestly, I would reccomend aireal style as Fatalis' chest is its weakest spot and toppling it gives you easy access to its head, which is a major weak spot.

Yes, even if you don't want to grind for the meta weapons, her set is a great one (and fashionable as hell too).
Honestly, I'd reccomend switching up your playstyle to using TCS and tackle more. Go with vaal hazak armor to counter chip damage from tackling with maybe some handicraft from Kushala, then go try Kulve.

Git gud at hammer, there is no otger weapon that becomes as fun as hammer once you're proficient with it, and in MHW its toolkit has been greatly expanded and improved from past titles.

GSfag since day 1 on PS2, but starting around 3U I started getting around to trying all the weapons so I could at least be somewhat competent with most of them. Still though, most of my hunts be GS anyways.

I'm shit and every hunt takes over 20 minutes. Online I enjoy it but alone it feels like I'm doing baby damage.

Vaal Hazak armor has a unique skill that extends natural HP regeneration past the limit of the red bar where it was lost, which pairs magnificently with rec speed decorations and skills. This means that any chip damage you would take by tackling will be regenerated in a matter of seconds.

Unironically cool with it. They are fun.

Valor GS, once you fill the bar it reaches MHW Hammer levels of toolkit versatility.

-Draw attacks become extremely fast, making hit and run way easier.
-During a normal charge attack you can press a to launch yourself forwards, gaining huge amounts of range and distance before landing the strike.
-On top of this you have Valor dodge.

It's not really all that great in world, but valor is fun and alchemy is suprisingly good.

I stopped farming a while ago, haven't done it during this entire festival marathon. I'm missing a ton of weapons but have a majority of good raw weapons so fuck it. I'd rather just craft something that's a little worse at this point than run that goddamn fight for the 300th time.

The worst part to me is that the dupes are literally just dupes. They could've easily added some mechanic that lets you break down undesired drops and combine the scraps from a few to make one new weapon, or at least have better odds. But no, it's just a mind numbing grind that doesn't guarantee anything even after you spent 50+ hours doing nothing but boring siege trash.

You learn to time it, it's a lot of time running around and waiting, but you can do level 2-3 charged slash>tackle>level 3 TCS with proper timing.
Obviously you can then abuse rocksteady for big dick damage, temporal is awful for GS aside from the not getting killed part.

Focus 2/3 is a must once you can get them. Tackle is primarily what allows you to TCS even when a monster attacks, though you can also benefit from flinching with a SCS.

For some reason the herbivores in the 'Weapon Dreams' have G-Rank+ amounts of health. It's fucking insane but it's purely used for weapons that require you to hit enemies to charge them up. Otherwise, you're gonna kill everything before you even reach the limit on some Extreme style weapons.

Striker and Brave DBs are really strong in XX, Striker will have you sucking ludroth dick for dash juice straight from the source though since it removes Archdemon mode.

I think they technically shit out more damage in HR in World though compared to XX HR, and in World you can spin in any direction mid combo instead of only being able to angle it a bit.

On PC there is unlimited armor transmog. On console you get a limited set of layered ones you can use. Some good, like Commission and Origin, but most are just trash like Brigade or Death Stench or Butterfly shit.
