How so? It's true that the end of his ftes are awful, mainly for his shady attitude, but before that it was decent and frankly it's amazing how a joke character managed to have better FTES in the game in comparison with some other characters like hagakure or kirumi for example.

the only real answer to this i see was this was programmed in for tsumugi as an exception to make her less suspicious. since normally a character who could be disguised as others would be a major suspect.

Because the world they're in (the V3 killing game) is their reality, so Tsumugi can't cosplay as characters from that world (Kaede and the other students).

Whether the V3 cast believed they were real or not doesn't affect whether they exist in the world of the killing game or not, that's the point. That's why Tsumugi can cosplay as Naegi and Hajime - they're not real to the V3 killing game, they're fictional characters, Shuichi proves they're not in 3-6.

You have a shit taste then since I can't remember a single good culprit, specially in comparison to the victims. Save rare exceptions like Peko being better than the red haired girl and gundam being better than nekomaru. Usually most murderers get a shit character treatment and are shallow since they only have their trial to "shine" before execution.

Kokichi was the epitome of "trying too hard to make a character work".
He was what happened when you tried to recapture what Nagito was but failed to understand what made good.
Chapter 5 ruins whatever impression he made in Chapter 4 and makes him the worst of the rivals in danganronpa.

I like her because she's one of the only V3 characters that has a fully completed character arc.

She starts off as a cold, uninvolved asshole who goes out of her way to not get involved in getting to know other characters at all, the trials even when she has information, or the killing game as a whole.

For example she joins Rantaro in 3-1 because she is willing to oppose the mastermind, but not enough to initiate it herself in the beginning because she doesn't have enough info or motivation to do so early. But then in 3-2 when she sees and talks to Ryoma during nighttime, she doesn't tell anyone because she doesn't trust anyone enough to reveal something important that could make her a suspect. Reasonably so, she's pretty autistic with people so she purposely distances herself from everyone on purpose.
Then the whole Kaito forced relationship blah blah yeah that wasn't particularly well executed but her actual character development within the last half of the game is nice. Going from basically a shut-in autist who avoids everyone to being slowly forced out of her shell is cute.
I also think that she acts pretty intelligently when she's not being forced by Kodaka to be unreasonably emotionally unstable, seriously fuck 3-5. When she's investigating with Shuichi in 3-3 she's pretty logical and deductive herself, not to mention when she was forced to talk in the 3-2 trial she reminds Shuichi that how the body was moved is less important than where he was killed. Little things like that make me appreciate her because she's obviously aware and fairly intelligent but consciously avoids people for both autistic and reasonable reasons, i.e. if everyone knew her real talent obviously she would be completely ostracized.

Like I know that people don't like her for being a bit of a cunt and unreasonable in the 3-5 trial, but again she's pretty emotionally unstable (for obvious reasons) and at least she's honest about her intent to kill everyone.

That's not Kyoko aka Ultimate Writers Pet who only survived due to being the only intelligent non-cunt character in 1 and no other reason.

They implied she went though a character arc but she felt almost identical from start to finish. I appreciate subtlety but she didn't change nearly enough. Take fuyohiko for an example, his personality was actually affected by the games events. Shuichi had a far more compelling character arc in v3.

i despised kyoko for almost the entire game, but felt she was somewhat redeemed at the last minute. her personality wasn't grating, she was interesting at least. The problem with her was having an ultimate detective in a murder mystery game who isn't the main character was a terrible idea, since she basically solves every trial for you.

remember tsumugi asked kaede to turn around before she dressed up. if she's an expert cosplayer its not unfeasible to think she applied some sort of make-up or something to trick kaede into thinking she had an allergic reaction. If that's true, and the cospox thing is just deception,
that means the DR1 and DR2 characters could be real since tsumugi cosplays them with no side-effects in that final trial.

My hot take on this is that Danganronpa 1 and 2 are ACTUAL fiction, as in, they never happened as "Ultimate real fiction" in the DV3 universe. IE, the killing games started as fiction, but then became "Ultimate Real fiction" when the games started being done within the V3 universe.
