Newfag in Fate fluff: what's the matter with her? I know she has issues with her sister amd that she is one of the "good guys" of KnK only because she makes funds with detective work.

Obviously 1 and I hated everything past this point on this route because of how forced everything became and how out of character the whole route felt.

There was also massive author bias that crept in at this point, where everything morally dubious Shirou did was swept under the rug and glossed over despite that being the whole point of the route and he even gets a happier ending than the routes where there isn't a massive thing about 'paying for your sins' (which he never does)

She's a mage, they aren't inherently good people. Touko by KnK is actually a much more human individual and she values the lives of Mikiya, Azaka and Shiki alongside or above her own.
The answers to most of your questions lie in Mahoyo, but long story short she holds a grudge against Aoko because she was chosen as the Aozaki heir (and therefore successor to Blue) over her, which is a pretty big deal for magi families.

Touko got passed over as the successor family mage including inheriting a God damn true magic and she's fucking salty about it, that's what's up in most of Mahoyo. By the time KnK rolls around she's calmed her shit a fair bit and became her own person, she's still pissed about it and that's why she gets mad at the term dirty red, because she would have normally inherited the title of blue.

I think that was to be the canon ending but they changed it because they wanted it to end with a happy ending. I think it's retarded honestly as you say the normal ending is much more in line with the general tone of the route.

I don't like it in general though. Most of the shit that happens only does because all of the characters who would call Shirou/Sakura out on their bullshit are conveniently killed off early on.

Cu isn't that great a magus with his runes, it's second-hand training from Scat who isn't even the best in the world with them anyway, considering that it's Norse runes. Maybe it's a different matter if it's Skadi-Scat, but that's a whole different issue.
