*Piano noises*
This may be the most normie "meme" that the Reddit/Youtube community came with, worse than Kakioin Milf hunter and Araki forgot
Whoever invented "Araki forgot" deserves to be gassed
The only thing that makes me fucking furious in vidya is when they don't let me skip cutscenes
>Motion Blur
anything that panders to celebs or streamers or includes social media integration
man i sure hate reddit haha accept me guise
animeonlys that think Bruno is better than Giorno need to be gassed
Reused bosses can be cool depending on the circumstance. Mainly rematch type bosses, though they usually add in new mechanics.
Filler.
It's kind of a know it when you see it sort of thing because it's often more subtle than the blatant "go do this multiple times instead of just once" type of filler. Anything that extends the game beyond the natural gameplay, just to add more playtime per dollar.
I get it, a 200 hour $60 game is a better value than a 20 hour $60 game, so you're naturally going to want more of the former. I would rather have a really good five hour game than a five hour game with 95 hours of filler.
My time on this Earth is finite, I'm not going to spend it wading through bullshit. I've got shitposts to type, turkey sandwiches to eat, pussies to destroy.
>manually save game
>take a few steps
>game autosaves
>game is about saving a girl with no personality
Yawn, dude.
Jojo is Japanese mlp with a helpful serving of reddit on the side
what does that even mean
Thing I don't like.
Haha reddit bad! Am i cool now guys?
>Area is filled with ammo and health and a door
>Its not a boss
Excusable on higher difficulties if enemies become bullet sponges
>area is filled with ammo and health
>next room is a gimmick boss
>to pick up you have to hit button on every item
>checkpoint before you picked up the ammo
>(especially if they try to hide it with a slightly different skin)
What? So you'd rather they literally just use the same boss again?
>games are playable by celebs and streamers
>never play games again
Here's a way out for you.
Repeat rival bosses are kino
>Escort mission
>Slower than your sprint
>faster than your walk
2 = 4 > 1 > 3 > 5
>higher difficulty = bullet sponges enemies that can 1 shot you
this one right here is the fucking worst
give me enemies with new moves
replace enemies with more dangerous versions
disable my strongest ability
do fucking anything besides putting the enemies on number steroids
The "especially" implies that I hate both versions of reused bosses.
For example, the Demon Firesage has a new look and has a new attack, but that's it. It almost plays the same, is filler, I wouldn't have mind another fucking bunch of Capra Demons or Taurus Demons but reusing the first boss? Twice?
>reused bosses
I don't remember any repeated stand themes in general through VA, honestly that complaint is far more suited to Steel Ball Run especially considering the final fight is literally just Diego but he has The World now for some goddamn reason.
DMCFags are just the Yea Forums version of animu JoJofags, prove me wrong
>jrpg
>enemies are so pathetically easy that the only time you actually have to use your brain is during boss fights
Mana system with no decent way to restore it outside of item spamming.
I like both of those things and have better taste than you.
What do you think of Dark Souls 3? I mean
>entire estus to restore it
>simple gems gradually restores it
>hidden blessing restores all of it
>dusk crown ring reduces consumption
Really sweet armor and weapons that can't be changed to work with your sweet ass load out example being Armour/cloths that can have their colors changed to suit your preferred scheme
Nah lol.
Wojak fags are far worse and more prominent
>game heavily requires you to heal using potions/pain killers
>game limits the max number you can hold to 9 so you can't horde them
i know it's boomer game design, but it gets frustrating at times.
The only Souls-esque game I've played was Bloodborne, so I don't know too much of how DS3 does it. Ideally, I'd want it so you regen a bit naturally and landing clean hits restores a small chunk.
>game lets you have as much healing items as you want
>end up getting a shitton of them erasing any difficulty the game had
Weapons and armor that can only be acquired by stealing them for a boss you already defeated.
Follow the story, dumbfag
DRM
Aldrich's Sapphire (pic related) is a ring that recovers a small chunk for each successful critical attack, such as ripostes and backstabs.
>shotgun is worthless past 15 feet
>female protagonist
That's kinda the point
any game does "tell, don't show" bullshit with big plot elements.
FFXV was a recent offender in this shit:
Kingdom Fell? You had like a line of dialogue and if you wanted to know more, you had to buy the CGI movie.
Your rival (Ravus) getting killed? You were told by notes scattered across his dead body. They had to patch in a cutscene MONTHS after release showing you how and going into further detail on why.
Major character gets blinded? Buy his DLC
I could go on but those three stick out the most
user have you ever used a shotgun? Even buckshot and birdshot is effective at a distance, buckshot especially and that's what most vidya shotguns claim to use.
>reused bosses
Rival bosses are fun when done right
>game mechanics that are never explained
That's a good thing. makes it more fun to find all the hidden shit the game could offer.
>user have you ever used a shotgun?
Not really but I think is a good way to balance weapons
A better balance for shotguns is the reduced fire rate and slower speed of reload compared to a rifle/pistol, as well as buckshot not being the greatest vs armour at range.
>grindy and repetitive content that only exists to drag out the length of the game, especially if the game has no mechanical depth and if you've fought one battle, you've fought them all
>poorly balanced difficulties that render certain strategies or weapons absolutely worthless
>repetitive, annoying dialogue lines or sounds, especially those placed just after a particularly punishing checkpoint
>game jerking you off for accomplishing nothing
It's called Golden wind you pretentious fuckhead.
Several official translated works before the anime called it "Vento Aureo" tho (such as Eyes of Heaven or All-Star Battle)
Why does he have 3 big holes in his forehead?
Is this supposed to be "badass" because he took 3 bullets to the dome and he's still flipping the bird at someone? Seriously, Japanese cartoons are fucking weird....
Actually those are three different anuses
>higher difficult = enemies deal more dmg, you deal less
>bullet sponges in general
>open world games that fill the map with useless collectathon instead of interesting encounters or locations
>games with great story/characters/atmosphere that completely fail at gameplay
>games with limited saves, especially the buggy ones
>hardcore mode that only adds hunger, thirst and sleep and it removes qol mechanics to "increase" difficulty
dont play das2
I already played DaS2, while is by far the worst Soulsborne game, I found it to be a good game overall.
i agree, it's just one of the worst offenders of what you said
I never got into the multiplayer tho, I found Soul Memory to be quite more troublesome than Soul Level
I've been tinkering with the idea of difficulty levels in an FPS I am designing. How's this?
>Easy
>Normal (Adds more enemies into a level compared to easy and they employ new tactics)
>Hard (Adds harder enemies from later levels to earlier levels)
With these silly difficulties (Using hard mode as the base for it):
>All melee is one hit kill, including your shit
>All ranged is one hit kill, including your shit
>EVERYTHING is one hit kill, including your shit
and finally
>We didn't test this: Everything is one hit kill, except your shit
It's because this happened.

Ammo is the same in all difficulties?
>something falls right in the way of the obvious way to get to your objective
>literally 2 feet of rubble that any sane person could climb over
>'LOOKS LIKE WE GOTTA FIND ANOTHER WAY AROUND'
>objective is behind a 3 foot high picket fence
>can't just walk over it
I'm still thinking about that. With hard mode using harder enemies I thought about turning the weapons you get from secrets to higher tier ones in hard difficulty, but at the same time I don't want the players to feel like hard mode end game to feel like normal mode end game in terms of your arsenal.
I guess I could have it you get more variety of ammo, for better or worse.
I'm gonna die
>Escort mission
>The npc escort you
>Big open worlds that have fuck all in them.
>Sandbox games with very little direction
>Boss can heal
>Boss spawns adds
I've read part 5 and I still don't get it, what is this meme?
in the vento aureo anime, this usually plays when the antagonist is about to, or is in the middle of getting, BTFO'd youtube.com
Oh it's yet another case of animeonlys being annoying
>fetch quest
>the item fetches you
In the Part 5 anime, whenever Giorno or one of the allies gets ready for a Stand beatdown to defeat an enemy (most prominently with Ghiaccio and Chocolatta), this song plays:
youtube.com
It became a meme with the animeonlys and now any "epic" moment gets accompanied with this song.
"Hate" might be too strong a word, but here goes
>No reason to use items until the final boss, items trivialize final boss
>Game doesn't tell you that a boss is meant to be hopeless so you waste your time and items trying to beat them (and as a corollary, the boss isn't hard enough to clue you in that you're meant to lose)
>Unskippable cutscenes
>When the hardest difficulty is still too easy
>Hand-holding
>Microtransactions required to progress in any reasonable time frame
I could probably think of more, but let me see how the thread develops
Giorno's theme > Stardust Crusaders
Sorry that a cool song is cool, Yea Forums.
Don't get me wrong, Il vento d'oro is a fucking banger. It's just that the whole "Giorno's piano" meme can get annoying.
wht a shitty animu
That's fair enough.
>game introduces a mechanic that is used once and then never again
>tutorials that are long, halt the flow of the game, and force you to go at a snail's pace
>both of these combined
Don't worry, Part 6 is going to get animated next and it's the best part
>Animated Made in Heaven
Holy shit
Not him but does it have a confirmed release date? I think it's 2021 next, right?
No confirmed release yet, but I mean given the popularity of the previous 5 parts animated I really doubt they'd stop here
It's not confirmed, but I really don't think they'd just stop at Part 5 considering how popular it's gotten and there's still that and SBR that are finished and ready to adapt.
both of these are good zoomer
Is Eyes of Heaven any good, Yea Forums? Does it have online multiplayer? It's forced 2v2, right?
*in
this.
Also I've been itching for more Jojo, found this and it did well to fill the gap.
youtube.com
"The story follows the drama of the Márquez family. The first Dora, Abuela, fought against the evil fox named Swiper, but she wasn't strong enough to defeat him. After many generations, a new Dora is born, the one to end the never ending cycle of battles between the Márquez family and the evil fox.
Armed with her stand, "These boots are made for walking", Dora charges forward into battle helped by her fellow explorers Papi, Diego, Pablo and Alicia. "
jojofags are cancer
Agreed
Wander intensifies
>indie roguelite
>zero environmental interaction or multi-layer support mechanics, just a basic bitch dungeon-crawler or arcade game with a pool of level-up abilities and a tileset "procgen" dungeon
Your game deserves to fail.
Animeonly jojofags are cancer*
>When the hardest difficulty is still too easy
Never happened
How to throw bricks in GTA IV
eyes of heaven is good if you either like
a) jojo
b) 3d arena anime fighters (like ultimate ninja storm, my hero justice, kill la kill, etc.)
It does have a online multiplayer but it's not great and it's always forced 2v2. I would still play heritage for the future on fightcade if you want to play a jojo fighting game online. But eyes of heaven is enjoyable and has a pretty cool story mode it's better than most jojo games (the phantom blood game on ps2 and all star battle were pretty shitty
Motion blur, screen tearing/crunch, unskippable cutscenes
What's not great about the online, user? Is it just extremely laggy or something?
I would legitimately rather get worse/rarer pickups than have a limited inventory.
Unlimited storage but you have a limited loadout is best.
yeah, it's pretty laggy and has bad net-coding even after they patched it.
ebin meme!!!!!!
>People unironically stay away from the manga because they know they'll get an anime season
It doesn't even take that long to read through it all either, why do people have to be like this?
I don't have a problem reading manga but I can only read/watch a source material once. So I either pick manga or wait for the anime, and with Jojo I have friends that like discussing the episode every week.
Fucking Arch Tempered
Ugh, jojo really is the new naruto
test
>the boss can slow you and stun you
>if you don't move fast enough you are fucked and can't do anything
>game forces some gimmick
>puzzle bullshit in nonpuzzle games
>getting arbitrarily locked out of content or a highpowered weapon 100 hours later because of some completely inconsequential trigger in the early game
I have read the manga to be fair, but I can kinda appreciate someone saying they'd rather wait. The anime has been a pretty great adaptation with barely any dud VA's and great music so experiencing the moments of Jojo first time with those elements would be nice.
>action game
>game too easy
>turn up difficulty setting
>enemies are still retarded but now have more health
>strategy game
>game too easy
>turn up the difficulty
>the player gets maluses
>the AI starts cheating
God those 2 get my fucking blood boiling.
Part 5 OP
i hared it
best boys piano>gangstar piano
youtube.com
Jojo is good though.
>Game has boss early game
>It's just a regular min event later on
yeah but some JoJo parts are good so whatever
Why would you hate this? It's supposed to show how much you've grown over the course of the game
>>reused bosses (especially if they try to hide it with a slightly different skin)
> Asylum Demon
>Stray demon
>Firesage demon
>>game mechanics that are never explained
>Hidden weight thresholds that impact roll iframes
>A UI that suggests RAW weapon is the best upgrade path
>Vagrants appears somewhat randomly and some have lots of loot
>Humanity is a key game item that drops from one particular enemy in one early game area and you don't really get what it does
>Egg head
So I take it you don't like Dark Souls
>Poison
>That escort mission in Sekiro
I remember early DOS games where you'd get right to the end and there's some locked door and the key was on the floor of the starting room that you couldn't return to or some similar shit
So, devil may cry?
Point proven.
>game have a tons of skills and weapons but only a few of them are useful and only a few builds are actually usable
