Are you on PC? If you post a session we can farm up Behemoth armor so that you have an easier time against ATs. Or just plunderblade all his parts.

The rest aren’t so bad but I just had to suck it up and try Extremoth with randoms in SOS until one day I found the right group and we put him in the dirt.

You can make all of Behemoth's gear with just Sleep bombing to get horns, sleep + Greatsword to get tails, and Plunderblade for everything else.
He is soloable as well but it's not pleasant.

People will tell you not to use Dragonpiercer unless you're using a specific build (commonly critical draw based with the Diablos Bow) but it's a decent option against anything that's been downed and you can get a full length from head to tail.

Dragon Piercer is a meme. Damage is too low for the amount of animation lock it leaves you with. High chance of getting hit or missing the shot, and even if you line it up properly and safely, you'd have done more damage just doing regular attacks.

I use Huntress and I regret it. Hunters are getting all the cool tokusatsu armors.

Pretty sure you get more damage doing your dash dance spread shot in the monster's weakpoint

Nergigante is a cakewalk if you can get the first two sleeping rockfalls, using Temporal + cluster just makes it EZ mode. Hell, you can cluster bomb pretty much all the AT monsters with little effort.

The only real trouble you'll have solo is Behemoth, Leshen, and KT since they were made with groups in mind.

Monster Hunter is plenty fun solo, there are only three special monsters designed for multiplayer, and they may not be relevant endgame anyway depending on how Iceborne shakes out.

World would certainly give you more hours of entertainment, especially with Iceborne around the corner. REmake 2 is really good though so I wouldn’t rule it out.

Zenith difficulty is kind all over the place, especially in the 1-4* scaling. Like Espinas's GR800 poison is devastating, but its attacks aren't actually that powerful. Bog is slow as shit, Dora can be almost completely walled by guarding or even 99 dragon resist, etc. The blights are sometimes the only reason why some monsters a threat at all but there's some legitimately harder stuff like Gasurabazura.

Yes it is. The weapon trees in World show you every weapon. Not all the details for all of them, but you can see how far all the trees go. The only weapons missing are the ones that were added to base World via post-launch updates.

Origin and Burst species are god awful in general. Everything before Frontier G (excluding Unknown and the metal fish) is completely inoffensive and would fit in mainline with no issues, but once G hit some of the designs remained fine while some ducking retarded ones got added in.

The fatties have some attacks that do dragon element besides either thunder for white or fire for the other two, iirc. They're also black dragons though.

Shoot. As you do this consecutively, you “level up” your shots using the charge mechanic, until you’re shooting a volley of 5 arrows. This cycle resets if you keep shooting normally. You can extend your maximum charge (the level 3, aka 5 shot volley), by dashing after the shot (evade+a direction). You can maintain max charge by shooting after this dash, and repeating, until you run out of stamina or neglect to dash after a shot. If using a PS4 controller, the input for a normal shot is R2, dashing is X+directional input. Dashing also inherently raises your next shot’s level by 1 (max 3). However it consumes much stamina. The Constitution skill, and/or eating for Blackbelt, mitigates this greatly.

Then there’s the power shot, which is basically a follow up shot to your normal shot. Your normal shots are precise, whereas power shot is a spread. PS4 input for this is O. Power shot consumes a chunk of stamina (like dashing), but is essential in your rotation for burst damage. For practice try R2, then O, dashing a direction and repeating. This is a quick normal shot and power shot combo, using dashes in between to both raise your level and then maintain it.

If you hold R2, your stamina decreases over time, but your bow charge level will increase. This is good for positioning, as you can move in any direction while building charge.

Stamina management is a must, and is simpler than most realize. Remember how I just said that you can hold R2 to build charge? If you let go of R2, your stamina will regenerate naturally. Choosing to release, and then holding R2 when you’re in a proper position to properly, is great for your stamina. However the novice bowman will hold R2 when they don’t need to.

Considering the other stuff I posted I feel like I can let Poborubarumu slide. Pokadaron looks retardedly goofy but Pukei-Pukei exists so I agree that one's subjective.

Like the majority of the monsters I posted, it suffers from an awful color palette. The problem with Frontier is that it desperately wants to use vibrant colors but has zero grasp on how to do it.

Shantien is another example of what I mentioned, along with Midogaron. Bright neon colors don't fucking look good, I don't understand how they kept making the same mistake over and over again.
