Bro I can literally just hug you and you can't do anything. You have no attacks and standing in front of your mouth at the right angle just spawn kills the lost souls. Most Doom maps were pretty tame with Pain Elementals. Never spawned them extremely far away and they always ended up spawning infighters anyway.
How to ruin a game with a single enemy. Fuck these things and fuck Hexen's low enemy variety.

It's still the best looking Doom engine game, better looking than some Build engine games.
Say that to my face fucker not on the PC version and see what happens
Just blast them with the ring of repulsion and they stop blocking
Eat shit and die
Which demon is the sexiest?
That one.
But I also like
Very juvenile design, almost looks like Duke 3D enemies.
"I'll rip your head off and shit down your neck."
It's not the looks that matter.
It's the fact that in Doom 64, if a lost soul spawn is blocked via the tactic of hugging them close it does splash damage instead.
My favorite part about Hexen were the variety in drawn hands for the spells. I wish magic FPS was more of a thing. Wouldn't mind if it got the Doom treatment without the glory kill shit
based summonerbro
Spoiler that spooky shit you asshole, damn near gave me a heart attack.
Doom 64 had the best Pinky design
Will he have a body in Doom Eternal? Also will he be confirmed to be The Doom Slayer's son reborn as a demon?
*snaps in your path*
How annoying, those flying demons can literally block your movement from the sky

I remember when I first played this game I wondered how the timelines could work in a way that allows Icon of Sin to exist canonically, if it was already killed in a previous game, assuming the old Doom games were indeed canon. Did anybody ever figure this out?
yep
I don't know if that is THE icon. I think that's just another of the Titans.
actually because of how Doom's AI works, it is the player that is blocking their path as they lack a melee attack and therefore must retreat turn and move away from the obstacle in their way
also the pain elemental's lost souls cannot spawn properly without enough space, so even if it does have enough range to attack, the lost souls will instantly die, making them defenseless
>the walking animation they gave him in Doom Eternal of him just waggling around his arms
more pls
you posted him
his chiseled looks and heavily built body are oddly adorable
He's dead m8, you killed him 2 games ago.
The traitor of the Night Sentinels wasn't Doomguy, it was probably the Marauder considering the skulls on his belt
please post demons, not generic anime girls
He's not dead. He's in a deep slumber
It appears as though there is some confusion amongst the populace in regard to the lore of Doom 2016 and Doom Eternal. Allow me to clear this up for you...
1. DoomSlayer and Doomguy are two(2) entirely different people. Doom 2016 is a reboot of Doom 1, not a continuation from Doom 64. Doom Eternal will be a reboot of Doom 2: Hell on Earth. Doom 64 has nothing to do with Argent D’nur between the time he Doomguy goes to Hell and the time when he is captured. Therefore, they cannot be the same person as the timeline is completely broken.
2. DoomSlayer is not human. He is a humanoid with distinct human features, but he is a native of Argent D'Nur. He was once their king and the leader of the Night Sentinels.
3. After losing his son in combat, the anguished DoomSlayer made a pact with a demon priest to resurrect him and in turn transformed his son's soul into the Icon of Sin and causing Argent D'Nur to be subjugated by Hell. DoomSlayer is The Betrayer.
4. Some lesser minded individuals have come to the conclusion that DoomSlayer is actually Doomguy, who was left in Hell in Doom 64 and eventually discovered by the Night Sentinels during the First Age. This is obviously incorrect, as the inhabitants of the dimension he returns to (our dimension) are completely oblivious in regards to the existence of Hell (with the exception of certain high-ranking UAC personnel) . Such an idea is preposterous as the entire earth was destroyed and humanity was nearly wiped to extinction in Doom 2.
Note: Headcanons regarding "alternative dimensions" which resemble the original dimension in every conceivable way sans the demonic invasion are retarded and belong solely within the minds of the aforementioned lesser-minded folk.

also FUCK CHAINGUNNERS
user developers have stated multiple times that doomguy is doomslayer, the doomslayer moniker was created by the marketing team to differentiate newer doom games form the older doom games.
The in-game lore states otherwise. *shits in your face*
Why are the developers coy about whether or not it's the same guy rather than just straight up saying no? Why have the developers repeatedly referenced Daisy and even put them in the cover of Eternal? Why does Quack Champions say it's the same guy? Why are you just keeping up this autistic shitposting when a legit leaker already spoiled the whole game and confirmed that it's the same guy?
>user developers have stated multiple times that doomguy is doomslayer
No. No they haven't.
They've stated he is a REBOOTED version of Doomguy.
Why was the 3DO soundtrack so good?
youtube.com
>Quack Champions
An irrelevant game providing concrete canonical alterations to a completely different IP?
>Daisy
This is a fallacy. Doom 2016 had cacodemons, and imps, and plasmaguns and the UAC. Doesn't mean they're connected. Why would the addition of an epic bunny make a difference.
>Leak
That was a LARP.
Single one is non-issue. If there are more you can't block them from spawning.
*blocks your path*
literally all of this is wrong and based purely on the incorrect notion that Doomguy is somehow not the Doom Slayer
When the director mentions Doom 64 in nearly every interview he may be giving you a hint
Previous civilizations being corrupted and conquered by hell were hinted at in environmental storytelling in the classic Doom games, especially in Doom 64. Doom 1 and Doom 2 explicitly say Hell absorbs other dimensions and corrupts them
Doomguy (and therefore the player) would not know about other civilizations actively resisting Hell because they themselves are preoccupied with saving their own
Not sure what you're trying to say.
>Doomguy (and therefore the player) would not know about other civilizations actively resisting Hell because they themselves are preoccupied with saving their own
How does this have anything to with with what I wrote. Also it is directly stated in Doom 2016 that Hell conquers and absorbs other dimensions so not sure why you're grasping so far back.
*runs out of ammo*
me too, doomguy
>Doom Slayer has magic augmentations, a super suit, his own hell clan and the help of an advanced AI
>Doomguy is just a lone pissed off marine
How is he that much of a Chad, bros?
literally chicken and egg, man
