Funny how you say that. When that happens, which is seldom at best, consoles get completely unfinished half digested garbage for a full price and then the actual 1.0 version of the game you paid to beta test for comes later on steam.

Nioh and specially FFXV were fucking hilarious. One literally got entire cutscenes added due to how unfinished it was and the other has gotten a billion and one patches completely changing the game for the better. At least on Steam when something is in early access, we actually get a notification of it, unlike console games.

The only reason consoles exist is due to aggressive marketing. They are a joke compared to what they used to be. Paid p2p online, barely any exclusives at all, most of them are the exact same stale flavor, jump ship to other platforms every other day and are instantly forgotten not even a week after coming out (does anyone even remember Spiderman, God of War, Uncharted 4 or Days Gone anymore?), run games like absolute shit with terrible graphics and silky smooth 24 fps with screen tearing out the ass, uneven frame pacing, frequent drops and 1+ minutes loading time. They don't even have the get-go factor they used to have since you're always updating something with everything being mandatory and then there are the game installs which take a year and half. The consoles will even blue screen to give that genuine windows 95 feeling.

PS4 came out in 2013. It had an underclocked HD 7850 and budget laptop-tier AMD Jaguar CPU. That was considered low-end in 2013 for a PC. PS5 shouldn't be any different. It'll have a low clocked Ryzen 8-core (probably at least 2 cores dedicated fulltime for background OS functions) so in essence it will perform probably close to a 6-core Ryzen 1st gen CPU. The GPU will probably be halfway between the power of an RX 580 and the 5700, it'll do 4K30fps and checkerboard fake 4K at 40-60fps. The same year (2020) you will be able to build a PC on the low-end that will outperform the PS5, even if it costs $50-100 more.

Theres a better chance Disney just buys Sony and kills the Playstation
