Castlevania literally have now a popular TV show, got 2 collections in less than a year. It will probably return soon enough. Iga is willing to still work with Konami.
For bomberman, r is still pretty recent but did 1 000 000 sales. So we may have a new one for next gen.
Contra got a collection and is having a new weird game. Most of the Contra team also is the same. Including the director of Contra 3 and hard corps who is directing the new one.
Zone of the enders was said to have a 3 made by cygames if Mars did well enough.
The next MG is 100% in dev considering there's more than 200 old Kojipro employes not working in anything known right now. Including bigger guys.
A silent hill game was in dev but sadly also canceled. But at last we know some members like Masahiro Ito are willing to work back with Konami as freelance.

As for the rest, only the future will tell... At least they got some bombers rendition of the characters in bomberman r... Ahah...

i don't see it happening anytime soon. they ran off all their talent, they don't have a good reputation to attract talent, and they're making too much money from mobile "games" and pachislots to ever go back to real games.
and even capcom's "redemption arc" is a bit overrated. they still haven't apologized to the fans and released mega man legends 3. their fighting games are still a mess.

it's not all about kojima. it's just that. because he's so famous, his departure from konami was both the last straw for most konami fans and the wake-up call for people who weren't paying attention.
konami also ran off the guy who created castlevania, the guy who created suikoden, and other important people like igarashi and fukushima long before they ran off kojima. decades of greed have left them with basically none of the talent that made them a household name in the first place.

With the script's revision history implying the story was about 95% finished more than two years before release, Konami rushing Kojima was likely because he spent way too much time polishing the game and convincing Konami that the overly meta premise, concepts and ideas will sell instead of using all of the time he had to make an actually good story.
