How do you play Ace Attorney?
Just blindly press everything or actually try to figure it out on your own?
How do you play Ace Attorney?
If there is no penalty for pressing all statements, I always press them all even if I already know where the problem is. Gotta get that flavor text.
If you mean presenting evidence then of course I try to figure it out on my own.
>playing case 2 from trials and tribulations (the maya one)
>notice the bullethole in costume at first glance
>try to present it
>get penalty
>have to press like 3 statements spoonfeeding me
>THEN I can present it
I love these games but I hate when that happens. Now I press everything out of habit, but sometimes you need to press stuff again after presenting stuff so it's still kinda a drag
It's not blind if I just want to see all the dialogue
I just followed a full walkthrough because I don't have the time for this shit.
I press every statement & savescum but I never use walkthrus
the game punishes you for not pressing most things during a trial
Press everything first and figure it out from it
Half of the time the game tells you that you should present shit and there's a clear hint at what it light be, and Half of the time it's just quessing. Pretty fucking annoying.
For Ace Attorney games in particular I use a guide because it gets too fucking loose way too often to follow the games logic and frequently sweeps away Wrights perspective on things making the pathing even more complicated than it should be. exception being with the Miles Edgeworth games. Those were pretty legit in its questions and expectations of what to prove
Is it me or was the 3 case in Spirit of Justice (the suicide one) a complete trainwreck, gameplay-speaking? Most of the time I had absolutely no idea what the fuck the game wanted from me, even though I figured it out pretty early
press everything unless there's a penalty cuz I want to see all the jokes and shit
Ace Attorney Investigations 3: Kay Faraday fucking WHEN
I already know it's never
I didn't think it was a complete trainwreck but I do recall that one of the spirit audience mirror things in that case was particularly hard, didn't know what they wanted from me even though I got what was going on yeah
The problem I have is that you are somehow expected to figure out what the witness doesn't like, for example a dude doesn't want to be called a coward even though there hasn't been any indication towards, so the correct path is to present something random just to call him coward
>He didn't run everyone's profile by Gumshoe each case
>even though I got what was going on yeah
>even though I figured it out pretty early
9/10 I have no idea what the fuck is going on, just pressing shit and trying some presenting.
What do you mean?
I was so dissappointed when you couldn't present profiles freely in the later games
You could do that in the earlier games?
I think you could in the 2-4, the first case of 2 hinged on it because of the spelling of her name
Ah ok, I have only played the first
