Is it worth buying the newer switch model when I already own one and 2 28000mAh power banks or should I wait for the inevitable "pro"? I play my switch a lot portable and it gets really annoying to have to lug heavy ass batteries around when I travel.

I'd get the lite if you play portable mode a lot, the OG has shitty ergonomics. I'd wait and see if the lite has the drift issue fixed and if it does I'd get that one.
I'm gonna say no if you need to spend carefully, because there's probably going to be another new model in the near future that gets a "New" or a "Pro" slapped on it.
not OP but let me hijack this thread. What would you recommend to someone who doesn't own a switch?
OG for hacking? New model for improvements? Or lite for cheaper and more portable?
Wait for the "Pro" model or whatever they're gonna call it
I dont want the lite because I don't feel like the price justifies taking away that many features. That and I play table top with the detached joycon at work with other people at least once a week.
Just wait for the pro dude
I use mine a lot so yeah, I would recommend it. My only complaint is that the system itself is kind of fragile and the joycons are poor quality.
Keep your old one if it's hackable. Once the real Switch Pro comes out you'll wish you still had it to mess around with.
My plan was to give it to my wife to keep with her. She works for CPS and I figured it would be a nice destruction for her to have to give a kid
Get the revision and some games
A switch is for 3 thing playing games, downloading games and occasional YouTube/ Hulu
This is the only console I have fucking 7 games with over 100 hours played and 2 with over 400 hours played
Don’t hack not because moral faggotry
Don’t hack because pirate’s fatigue will hit like a sack of bricks
You’ll have 400 games and play none of them
>*400 phone games
FTFY
>Another CPS worker
I’m pretty sure I’ve brought like 10 DS systems because 1 out like 40 kids would end up breaking it or stealing one.
Still worth it but it was frustrating to have to buy a new one every other month
I wonder if you could write that off on your taxes
You're unlikely to be able to grab a Hackable Switch nowadays
The only reason I'm considering hacking desu is so i can transfer my cemu save file of botw on the switch
if there ever is a "pro version" maybe the battery life wont be as good as the new revision? so its up to you if its worth it or not. if you are sick of carrying portable battery banks then it might be worth it.

This is true. to be honest i only use my hacked switch to play games early and try games that i am not sure about. then if i like it i buy it for my Non hacked switch.
True
I hate more devs aren’t doing like Square releasing demos that’s data transfers over to the full game
That feature sold me on Octopath Traveler so much I changed my pre order from regular to the 100$ deluxe edition
yeah more companies should do it. i am buying dragon quest xi anyway but i know a lot of people were on the fence about it and are now going to end up buying it which is good.
i think its only mainly dragon quest though since they are trying to make it popular here in the west.
