I haven't bought it yet. DoomRL is one of my favorite roguelikes simply because it nails fast action while being "Roguelikey" enough to be qualified, but I don't know if I want to spend $25 for what looks like a worse version. Even though the graphics are fancier it seems to convey less excitement than DoomRL's sprites. And the bit I've seen about the gameplay makes DoomRL seem better as well.

I don't see how that's relevant, the game is still in development and incomplete anyway.

If you like doomRL it is very similar, but some changes for modern times are included.

Soundtrack and profanity is a nice bonus.
CRT mode (default) can be turned off in options if you want a normal screen.

I'm not saying the game is bad, just that I wait for games to be considered complete (by its own devs) before I look at giving it a try. I don't like playing EA versions of games and potentially spoiling my own fun or becoming bored with it already when it's actually complete and released properly.
