another 2d classic Sonic game and a poor attempt at an Adventure spinoff

Literally Sonic Forces but good.. good level design, good writing & dialogue, better set pieces, actual unique gameplay for your custom character (like basic slow 3d platforming) introduced in another campaign separate from Sonic, an actual HARD MODE, no bullshit DLC.

Sonic Adventure 3, or a SA1 remake.
>How would you make the next sonic game?
Multiple characters, who play similar to Sonic. Multiple levels, multiplayer versus, Chao Garden, upgrades, etc.
The only good sonic game was the first one then it went to shit.
fuck off chris
Moving the goalposts user.
If you're playing the space stages I'll give (aquatic mine too), any other stage is just casual bitching. Also ironic that you ignored how busted the tikal hints were in SA1 which trivialized exploration in treasure hunt stages, making many of them last almost just as long as a Forces act. Don't even get me started on the digging and punching which changed for the better with SA2 Knuckles/Rouge by far.
Eggman had a solid stages for the most part which elevates him in the enjoyment, Eternal Engine was ass but aside from that Tails' side was absolutely inoffensive at worst.

Classic or Modern, whichever it is, evolve the franchise from linear to branching path based: Incorporate ideas like SA2's Green Forest into objectives that, if acomplished, would lead into different routes. Just little things to further incentivise more playthroughs from the player. Sonic Games shine more upon mastering them but players rarely get to experience that due to their consumption habits.
