assuming you only finished survivor you can try playing as hunter, it's basically hard mode. There's a mod to get rid of the cycle limit if you need it.

Finally a fucking rain world thread.
Did anyone else play this on low spec hardware? How was it? I played on a thinkpad and it worked really well but some areas were super laggy and there was never a way to predict what would cause it. Five Pebbles with all the shit floating around was fine but the main menu for instance chugs so hard I thought the game would be unplayable.

Sky island connects the top of chimney and farm arrays, so it's a good way to get to subterranean after talking to pebbles. Drainage connects outskirts, filtration, and shoreline, but it's a huge pain in the ass and isn't really worth it. But some people accidentally go there first before any other area, hence the complaining.
you can just go down chimney and go to subterranean some other way, either through outskirts > farm array, shoreline, or drainage

I'm not totally sure but I think when lizzos have you with their tongue they let you go a split second before they bite so they don't bite their own tongues. He slipped under them when they did that.

I think I have to sit down and write an essay about the thing to try to get my thoughts out at some point, but to me it's how it's a sandbox with no communicated objective, but it guides you into making your own significant goals which end up encompassing a complete spiritual journey. There's never a "you can do thing, but why would you want to?" moment even though the game doesn't ever really reward you with in-game stuff.
