just hack the damn thing and get a micro sd adapter

How would I hack it?

I have a micro SDK adapter, but Its too big for the memory port.

>I would like to play the psp asap for nostalgic intrest.
unironically buy a vita. not only does it do native PSP, there's a bounty to run PSP games at vita resolution. the vita will soon make the original PSP completely irrelevant.

micro sd to mem stick duo, ya dingus.
you can find them on amazon.
this is a better use of your time and money if you have the means

*memory stick PRO duo
Regular duo is a different card.

I doubt any big retail places would sell outdated stuff like that, you should try a retro store like vintage stock or some mom and pop place

Yes, they are just memory stick pro duos

To get all the games ever

Go find a Vintage Stock if you have them.
They sell everything old console or handheld related including games, consoles, controllers.
Hell my buddy picked up an unopened brand new memory card for his PS1 the other day

I have boxes of these, what is your top dollar?

im pretty sure regular memory sticks work for psp

>physically sells
how else would they sell them? digitally? spiritually?

Conceptually. They say they sell it to you but then they just give you the license to legally buy it elsewhere.

>there's a bounty to run PSP games at vita resolution
How is this going to work?, the PSP games are going to run in a tiny screen on the vita or they are going to be stretched??? i'm curious

what we know so far.

nearest neighbor bullshit so it will look jank

from the bounty page:
>As the title says, Native resolution for PSP games. (960x544). PSP games are limited to half the vita's native resolution, so they don't exactly look great. The feasibility has already been discussed on reddit so it is certainly possible; its just alot of work.

Some techland article:
>PSP games run at 480 x 272 pixel resolution, but have to be upscaled to the Vita’s 960 x 544 pixels. What’s more, the Vita has an OLED screen, meaning the way it handles colors is actually different from the PSP’s LCD-based color technology. To remedy the interpolation and color issues with PSP games, the Vita allows you to enable “bilinear filtering” and make color output more like it would be on an LCD screen.

so i take it it's going to be like this user said.

Ups, i meant this user may be right.

You should get one of these, they are really cheap.

Pawn shop user. If they have them they will most likely have forgotten about it or desperate to let it go since probably only you know what it is. I worked in a pawn shop and we would have abunch from sony cameras that also used the pro duo.

Just get the micro sd adaptor you goofball.

no big store sells them new in the package but you can easily find one online

USB connect to your PC and download CFW and then run the launcher on your system.

since its saturday i would head to the flea market and try to find one in one of the random stalls

just emulate

Godspeed user, what games do you intent to play on it?

The VITA's screen is a perfect 2x scale of the PSP screen. As it currently stands, PSP games can be run at their orignal resolution and it fills the entire screen. You can apply a bilinear smoothing filter or if you have Adrenaline, several other filters that affect how the screen looks. What this bounty is proposing is to use the VITA's GPU to run the PPSSPP renderer through it while using the PSP CPU inside of the VITA to actually run the game.

>use the VITA's GPU to run the PPSSPP renderer through it while using the PSP CPU inside of the VITA to actually run the game.
what is the point of this? will this allow to use the hd textures of MHP3rd on the vita for example??

iirc the adapters work without CFW but it's been quite a long time.

saw a thread recently where user admitted to stockpiling PSVita memory cards to sell for profit when the demand is higher. likely will run into scalpers with PSP memory sticks as well because they were always quite pricey. so it'd be smarter to just buy an adapter + microsd card.

don't buy the ones that take 2 microsd cards. the way they work is they recognize both cards as one volume, so when one card is full data gets split off to the other card. there is huge potential for data loss if 1 card fails here. just go for 1 high capacity microsd card instead.
