Should I play it? I've only played 3 and 5 before, 3 being my favorite of those 2

goodluck grinding
why did you skip 4?
If you liked persona 3 and 4, it's kinda like that but actually good
Way too many random battles + maze dungeons = cancer
Played it for 10 minutes and forgot about it
1 > EP > 3 > IS > 5 > 4
Daily reminder
Is 1 really the best?
It is the most Persona persona. 3-5 are just trying to ape its depth and content matter, while 2 is its own crazy rollercoaster.
Yes but the ps1 version
That one is the "part 2" of the P2 games.
You need to play the Innocent Sin first
It is if you're looking for that type of game. It's a dungeon crawler based primarily around combat with a fairly simple story, not an 80 hour friend sim.
IS/EP are absolute trash as games, watch them on YouTube instead
If you want an actual video-game and not a glorified VN yes
No. Coming from someone that played it during the PSX era, it's a babby's first dungeon crawler with atrocious dungeon design, sluggish combat which is just as exploitable as every other SMT game and a 60-ish hour run with a story that could barely fill 20 with cookie cutter characters.
Good chart
No. It has the absolute worst combat system of any post SMT1 MegaTen game thus far with only a fast forward function to make the drawn out animations for every attack go from unbearably long to still unbearably long, but faster looking.
01 chads
so should I play 1 or 2 on PSX/Vita?
Why not both?
The PSP port for 1 has alot of debate over the OST changes but Im pretty sure it has a mod for that that lets it be the superior choice unless you really like black mark.
Innocent Sin the PSP port is just a straight upgrade as long as you dont mind the last bit of difficulty being removed and the PSX version of Eternal Punishment is your only choice for it
It's a great game but don't expect it to be a "modern" style RPG like the newer games.
Random encounters, grinding, quests, more strategic gameplay; if you're not a fan of JRPGS this isn't for you.
>more strategic gameplay
