Feels fucking exhilarating lads. This is my first time being the first to discover a fresh tactic/exploit.
So what's the consensus, is this shit or not? I've been having fun with it although 2 v 2 is getting a bit stale.

Although on that map I will say there is one redeeming element: you can hide underneath the crate in the middle and so many people have no fucking clue where I am when I do this, its fucking hilarious. One time I shot someone once while underneath it and they spun around and were searching everywhere for me, not noticing that I was two feet away under the damn crate lmfao

Really? Weird, I hate it for completely different reasons. I feel like you can't really camp effectively or run alternate strategies or routes and 95% of rounds on there quickly devolve into a complete shitshow of a shootout with little tactical thinking. I pick either the ramp up into the treehouse I run straight down the middle, there's really nothing else to consider. Hanging back is fucking retarded because picking figures out of the leaves is a retard's game.

Agreed. So far, "Gunfight" or whatever it's called, is the fairest CoD has been in a long time. Static, rotating loadouts mean you are always well aware of what weapons your opponent is using, and symmetrical, methodical maps combined with this means you can always predict chokepoints for a given loadout and it purely comes down to outplaying your opponent, not "rock, paper, scissors"ing them.

I enjoy mindless class-based dickery in a pinch, but this easily my favorite game mode, period. It reminds me of Breakout from Halo 5 a lot, in a very good way.

Its out before the tournament unsanctioned little kid modes come out, which everyone will play, because most***** cod players are little kids with short attention span that need super powers, ultimates, killstreaks, instant gratification, and uncounterable cheap shots in order to feel good at a game.

Fallacy. Gunfight is factually a mode that tunes the CoD gameplay loop into a form that is objectively competitive. Using "CoD competitive hmm" as an argument lacks substance, since we havent actually had a gamemode that at all correlates well into competitive gameplay until now.

Gunfight and Gunfight OPS are objectively good competitive modes.

They will most likely not be played in tournaments though. I'm not saying you shouldn't enjoy the 2v2 modes, and clearly you will be able to find lobbies, especially if you're on console, but it's just not what the cod community wants from a cod game, and you can see that isn't just my personal opinion if you go outside of Yea Forums and read other people's thoughts on the mode.
It's an okay mode to play with friends occasionally, but I just can't see myself playing it for longer than an hour, and I can't see myself playing this at all when the full game comes out.

It's also worth noting that I might not like the mode as much as you because there's a lot of guns I don't enjoy using like shotguns, shitty pistols (m19), machine guns etc. Running around with a sniper/smg while listening to music and trying to get killstreaks is a lot more fun for me personally.

So at this point I'm sure most people have noticed the sewer-like path that runs perpendicularly underneath the bridge and connects the two start points, although a lot of people I've played with surprisingly don't even seem to know it exists.
Usually if you try and traverse this its way too goddamn slow, but if you sprint right at the first overhang and slide it'll extend your slide movement well past the overhang itself, if you time it right, and it also seems to go slightly faster. If you get your timings right you barely break slide at all and you basically jet past all three overhangs and zoom to the other end lightning fast.
I thought it was relatively simple and its not a true glitch but I call it a "glitch" because it seems to be a way for the game to deal with not wanting to end your slide under the overhang and it allows you to move incredibly quickly through the bridge. No one ever seems to expect this, you can clear it in like three seconds, climb up the wall on the other side in another second or so, and start shooting. I've repeatedly won rounds like this, just climbing out and shooting both opponents in the back while they try and firefight my teammate and no matter how repeatedly I do it they never seem to understand how I get behind them so quickly.
Some of you probably already knew this but my time online suggests that the vast majority of people don't.

Yeah give it a shot. The best time to do it is when your teammate starts shooting across the starting zone at the other team and nobody dies immediately. When that happens I assume that they're locked in a firefight and I hop down into the sewer the back way. A handful of seconds later and I'm behind the enemy who's crouched behind cover trying to manage my teammate, and I usually get at least 1 kill. A few times though its just won the round outright with them both behind cover camping the spawn.
Then you can also rush the other positions from the back as a nice bonus.
