Why are there still no good Godzilla games?
Why are there still no good Godzilla games?
The Pipeworks trilogy was good.
i want good ultraman games
This movie was actually good.
Too bad we will never get another one like it because of (((western critics)))
I fucking loved the movie. Fuck RT.
So glad we're getting giant monster movies even in this day. I hope GvKK doesn't dissapoint.
I'm a little sad we'll not get a sequel to Shin. I wanted to see what else it would mutate into. The early concept of it splitting into two Godzillas looked rad.
>I'm a little sad we'll not get a sequel to Shin
at least anno is working on shin ultraman, im really excited for that
Toho and Legendary at least claim they were pleased with how KOTM turned out and will keep the Monsterverse going beyond GvK, allegedly at least
ahem
I don't think it's possible. The only kind of game Ultraman really fits in is a fighting game, but fighting games can't really communicate what's great about Ultraman. The Ultra Series really is a product of its medium.
King of the Monsters was sort of my introduction into Godzilla. Granted I knew of the monsters. But now I have an active desire to see more
No good Godzilla games. New Godzilla and Jurassic Park sucked.
Life sucks if you like giant monsters.
If you weren't a dumb zoomer who's first Ultraman was Taiga you'd know about the Fighting Evolution games
im watching the original right now though, and i knew about that game
i just meant a good modern game, something that's not a fucking phone game
Why did they make so many kino posters for the fuckin Chinese release?
>Fighting Evolution
He said good
They are the perfect representation of Ultraman into video game form. The body language and feel of every character is exactly how they appear on television.
This is probably the closest we'll ever get to a good Godzilla game.
Toho Is indeed pleased and it's on board for more Hollywood movies, but Legendary has stated that it might very well end with GvK if they don't see enough success.
KotM box office disappointment, while not a flop, is worrying. Clearly it is partly a result of being released in the post-Endgame summer but I sadly think that if GvK isn't a straight up success Legendary will pull the plug
They're jank pieces of shit that barely function as fighting games
Sure there's a lot of fanservice but everything except the fanservice blows chunks
I'd recommend starting with the original 1954 movie just to understand how it all started. There's a chart somewhere that points you in the right direction of what movies to watch next. Most don't follow a canon timeline, so you can kind of start wherever. Even if you watch a sequel, its easy to understand. My personal favorites are Terror of Mechagodzilla (1974), Godzilla 2000, and Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002). I like Mechagodzilla.
I'd also recommend checking out the Heisei Gamera trilogy movies which are very good.
Giant monster demolishing stuff doesn't translate to engaging gameplay. Unless it's just fetish fuel.
While not technically a Godzilla movie, Dogora the Space Monster is unironically my favorite Ishiro Honda movie.
Same. I saw the trailer for KotM and instantly fell in love and wanted to know more about the other monsters. Next thing I know, I've acquired every single Godzilla movie and am watching one a night. It was a lot of comfy fun and I enjoyed it. Heisei era a best.
The only shame is that I feel out of place in any discussion about when you first watched a Godzilla movie. I don't have any childhood experiences beyond knowing the character existed.
