You won't be able to truly freeform build until after clearing the story, sorry to say. Though you can build stuff inbetween chapters, you won't have access to every recipe until you progress further. Just soldier on, user.

Imagine working in retail on saturday, especially during back to school season/ post august-15th. Now THAT is soul-sucking.

Currently working my way through Deus Ex Human Revolution. Despite the augment conflict being absolutely nonsensical and uninteresting, and the lack of approach options compared to the original game, I'm having a decent time. I hear Mankind Divided has more refined gameplay, but even worse writing.

I'm playing Guilty Gear right now, I feel like I'm a little off today though.

Doodsex HR was pretty fun.
Some people thought that the limiting paths due to you not choosing something previously was a bad thing.
I wasn't really a fan of the original letting you do everything regardless of how you spec'd

I intend to finish Hero mode on ALBW, I'm at the final boss right now and performed better than I expected.

Anyway, Hero Mode is such bullshit in this game. It's virtually unplayable before you get Blue Tunic and Golden Sword. To anyone planning on playing it, I suggest you only rent the items you absolutely need for the first three dungeons, then grind Rupees before you get the Master Sword until you can just buy everything in Ravio's shop. And even before the first three dungeons, try to get as many of the bottles and heart pieces as you can. When you get to Lorule, get Ravio's bottle immedietly. Go collect the fairy bottle and go into the swamp dungeon, get the blue tunic and leave. Collect heart pieces. Then enter two dungeons with Master Ore, collect it, leave and temper the sword. Then go to the thieves' hideout, collect the ore and defeat the boss. Then buy the Sand Rod, enter the Desert dungeon, collect the mitts and leave. Get the last Ore and make the Golden Sword, then finish the rest of the dungeons and collect the remaining heart pieces. Then enter Lorule castle and get the Red Tunic. Fight Yuga using the shield as much as possible.

The fact that the base defense drops by 75% in Hero mode, mean that many reguar enemies kan kill you in one hit even after collecting many heart containers. If someone out there can beat Hero mode with as few hearts as possible and never get the sword or tunic upgrades (or even the shield) you'll earn my respect.

Probably gonna play some Octo Expansion in Splatoon 2. I only did like 4-5 levels and it was way better than the entirety of the single player modes in Splatoon 1 and 2. This is what single player should have been, it's so fun.

I'm going to play Trove.
I hate this game so much. It's just a never ending grind because the devs have no idea how else to add new content. The single time they added actual content in the past four years was this irrelevant and s l o w mining world that is just a huge fucking waste of time. All the other content in that time was just "hurr add 13 more gear slots" and "hurr add five more gear tiers". Then quality of life is just going down the toilet because they're apparently completely comfortable with like tripling the amount of crafting tables you need so now you have a billion tables clogging up your home. And what's more is that the currency players use has inflated so much in just a year. Material worth 3-4 flux is now worth about 7. Tomes worth about 16k is now worth 50k. Absolute shite. And FUCK the grind for Vanguardian with a crusty leaf blower.
Yet it's so mindless with so much busywork that it's just a good grinding game.
At least the weather is nice today.
