how autistic does one have to be to put signs on their chests?

on hard spiders can spawn with buffs

>not putting your chests side by side, on top of each and other next to each other to get more chests in less space

Post one of your builds then. Prove you aren't a shit builder.

Australian Minecraft looks weird

Why'd you build it upside down? I mean that's kind of impressive I guess, but like what's the point?

That is full circle
It's for sorting
That's ugly

>Aussie plays Minecraft

how did you get grass to grow underneath the dirt like that

Ugly house, just stick to dirt houses kiddo.

There's only 2 pics of user's houses ITT. Post yours. Here's my survival house. It's worth over 6000 stone blocks.

a stately building. i like the little interior garden

You're triggering the fuck out of the minecraft gangsters in this thread and I respect that.

It's minecraft; build whatever the fuck you want.

That's a big house for a guy with single status

Actually, it's smaller than you think. You just haven't seen the interiors. That house is a recreation of this one in my test world. Here are the rooms.

1. Bedroom
2. Bathroom
3. Brewing Room
4. Dining Room
5. Kitchen
6. Storage Room A (Food, Cooking and Brewing Ingredients)
7. Library and Enchanting Room
8. Living Room
9. Smithing and Stonecutting Room
10. Storage Room B (Ores and Minerals, Tools and Weapons, Unused Building Blocks, Furnace Fuel)
11. Smelting Room

The difference between this one and the survival house is that number 2 and 4 have been expanded.

pretty cool, I could never get into building actually good shit and after getting diamond gear Id usually get bored, Id prefer some more adventuring things to do in minecraft, get some unique weapons and shit

im literally going to beat you up user

Pretty cool looking. I'm assuming that pillar is a redstone elevator. I never really tried doing more redstone contraptions apart from stone generators and automatic turrets.

now that the dust has settled, how did the spider get the speed boost?

This

Non-meme answer: It's a decent pallet but it's still bad since it's way too small

so what the fuck is a hopper and how does it work?

It's a hopper and it is used to move items from a chest or any other container to another container or chest. Since hoppers count as containers themselves, you can connect them together. They are also powerable, so you can use them to automatically sort your items into the correct chests. It's pretty much one of the best utility blocks if you know how to use it

It's a neat idea but just ends up looking kinda gay and small

FUCKING AUSTRALIANS

I can only play this game heavily modded to a great degree, kinda like into the direction of Terraria, just heavy enemy and exploration based mods, type of shit where you come across a city with a city underground, with some spiral dungeon underneath that shit all spawned by rng. Thats how I like my autism

I can never seem to finish everything and it always looks like a construction site. Even my house (large one in the background) is basically empty inside/a minecart junction to my storage room.

Attached: Minecraft_ PlayStation®4 Edition_20190824090810.png (1920x1080, 1.96M)

I have chests with food, chests with building supplies, chests with farming supplies, chests with "adventure gear" for when I'm exploring, and chests with mining/smelting materials. There's not much to memorize.

Despite having bought minecraft in 2013, I have never beaten survival. I have never killed either the dragon or the whither, I never got a full diamond armor or fully enchanted armor, I never made a farm for anything other than wheat. I only spend my time creating creative worlds, flying around, doing a few experiments, then delete the world.

And there's nothing wrong with you.
You're just a casual scum.

make some fake clouds under the house buildings and it'll look a bit better, just seeing the floating bottoms looks strange
use either white wool or snow blocks, snow is easiest to gather if you just trap a snow golem in a 1x1 space and use a shovel to gather snowballs from the infinitely spawning snow on the block below the golem

Actually I have beaten games much more consuming and difficult than minecraft, I just don't have fun in survival, always hoarding shit is fucking annoying.

> just finished hand picking 45 mods for minecraft after beating vanilla

I had your problem but set goals. really finding a town so you can level up priests should be your goal. you have 2/3rd chance of them selling ender eyes = use to find / power end portal = kill dragon win game. make a nether network to find a town and stick with your save even with bored,

house on server I played on a few months ago, never finished temple

This explains why your spiders have buffs.

Why the fuck is everyone playing kiddiecraft all of a sudden?

I sometimes play it to kill time while listening to the Dick Show

Also the location sucks. This would be acceptable deep within a forest. Also if he builds renovations underground it might be find space wise.

Well, just go somewhere that is not a flat grass and start building. It will come natural if you just give it some time.

Early Classic. I joined random creative servers and would build tiny castles with lava moats around em. I played pretty regularly up until 1.8, when the 3 big servers I played on all died one after the other and I just wasn't up for trying to find somewhere new. I seem to have emptied my screenshots folder at some point, I no longer have pics of the big community events, giant coop builds, my fallout vault. Feels kinda bad honestly.

There's literally nothing wrong with using other people's ideas as inspiration.
Once you've tried lots of different stuff yourself, you'll start coming up with your own ideas too.
Practice is a big part of it.

>throw items on it
>they get transferred into whatever container is located straight below or next to the hopper

minecarts with hopper work almost the same
>suck in nearby items it rolls into
>empties its content when the minecart passes above another hopper/dispenser/dropper, etc...

so many updates and yet no big updates with tons of content and no cool additions besides the aquatic update, only now it's getting some content, and even then it's nothing interesting.
A FUCKING BEE

You can always customize the cave. it;s not hard to do either, just sprinkle some cobble and andesite in with the stone.

use the new stone stairs and slabs to break up the walls. you can also use stone and cobble walls as stalactites/stalagmites.

if you want a bit more vegetation you can put vines and leaves on the walls and use mossy cobble along with the andesite and normal cobble.

you could also add log supports in parts of the cave like tunnels to give it a bit of realism.

Laziness

Early classic, when it was free, then I bought indev.

I've only ever played vanilla with light stuff like optifine. Minigames are zoomer garbage.

I liked it but honestly fuck phantoms and fuck drowned. Actually, keep drowneds, but they should not be the only other aquatic enemy with guardians. Phantom should be retextured into a stingray or something that will change color on the bottom and sting you if you touch it.
The flying enemy concept was cool but phantoms are such shit. They're annoying to fight and they don't drop anything good. Beds are fucking broken anyways.

it spawned during a full moon, which gives mobs a greater chance to spawn with some special trait, such as a potion effect in case of spiders (they can also be invisible) or weaponry + armor in the case of skeletons and zombies.

Reddit fuck off

I wanted to put in a set of linked, hidden stairs inside the house to lead to the lower levels. But because the circuit is so bulky due to all the pistons and such needed, they have to be crammed right next to eachother.

I never was able to figure out how to power all the pistons on the right circuit without having the block power bleed into the left. This is as far as I got, but never solved it.

Those granite slabs on top of the stone brick look really nice.

Unrelated to this, but I think I’m finally going to kill myself tonight

I always do this. It's useful. Later on I swap if out for an item frame holding an item relevant to that catagory

it says I registered 07/06//2009 but I know for a fact I bought the game when 1.7 got released.
and getting my ass handed to me in a mineshaft far below the savannah by some poison spiders.
I also associate the band Warning with my first year playing Minecraft, a real odd couple those two.

On the dock wall? Those aren't granite, those are iron plates. I think it's from Quark. There's tons and tons of mod blocks in this pack that work real well for adding color variety.

can you give a quick demonstration of how the end result is supposed to look like in unhidden form? It's pretty hard to see from this screenshot

Does anyone have a seed with a village in the snow?
I wanna build in the snow but all the villages are too far away

Attached: 1548153886076.png (803x790, 253K)

Oh, I see now. I wonder if there's a vanilla slab that looks similar enough in color.

What are those brown bricks?

It's a really bulky circuit so you can't quite see everything going on. This is the basis of the build for it here: youtube.com/watch?v=BW21xwTGH3U&t=

In my version, I mirrored it so that the right version is normal and the left version is a mirror copy, meaning everything is backwards. The biggest problem I currently have is that yellow wool block below the pistons on the right side.

I don't have any creativity in me to build anything more advanced. Any tips?

Attached: 112.png (1252x938, 538K)

how it looks on the inside

Attached: 113.png (1261x931, 646K)

Neat internal structure, but shit otherwise.
Make the roof an A-frame instead of a pyramid, replace glass blocks with panes, pop out the wood framing the whole thing, make the roof hang over the framing by one more.

So fellas: new or old textures?
or texturepack if you have a good one

only recently built the enchatment room, it's mostly empty. will probably build the nether portal here too

Attached: 114.png (1259x931, 677K)

coordinates in the nether = coordinates in the overworld/8
so if your base is at 0 0 and another is at 800 -800 then the nether coordinates for the portals will be 0 0 and 100 -100
there's also some rules about proximity, so if a portal in the one dimension would be created as a result of you teleporting there from another, if it's within a certain distance of another portal, it'll just teleport you to that another portal instead. works like that for both overworld ans nether

2012 I got my account just before Redstone update, but I had pirated the alpha or beta versions before that. I only ever played creative.

I didn't play for over 5 years until 2 months ago, playing survival for the first time, put 100 hours into it, having fun.

This is a lot of work put into a shitpost.

Old textures are superior

is this game actually fun? i haven't played since alpha and theres tons of shit they added apparently.

Attached: 115.png (1262x942, 721K)

I usually don't work on houses this large for survival bases, but scaffolding really helps alleviate the tedium of trying to build multiple levels. I still have to work on the surroundings of the house+terraforming but that will have to wait.

Attached: base.jpg (1920x1080, 690K)

Look up some building guides on youtube there are tons.

Some tips:
> don't build the entire thing with one block.
> add some variety in shape
> give it a roof
> add exterior features like planters and patios, shutters etc

The day the 360 version dropped I bought it. I was young and didn’t get into PC gaming until later. But I watched MC on YouTube and wanted to play it. My brother and I must have spent thousands of hours just playing together on split screen. Shit was nice. Now I play on Java version that I’ve been playing since 2016 after a couple years break in between playing on 360 and buying java

Based OG oak builder making newfags seeth.

thats what i loved doing in reign of kings.

build bigger and make your walls 1-3 blocks thick with different layers of different types of blocks

like just with an oak planks rectangle
1 block out make some log pillars
1 more block out make the edge of the roof
place the door so it isnt flush with the outside wall
use glass panes instead of glass blocks
now every wall has like 50 different surfaces instead of 1

Good song. The one reference was enough

The big first step is to have a frame and a roof.
Make your frame out of a different block than your main structure, and your roof out of a different block from that.
The frame should be one block out from every edge of your base, the roof should hang over it by one.
Do not make pyramid roofs. A-frames are superior in every way.
Once you've got framing and roofing down, consider starting a build with framework, and making the shape a few intersected rectangles rather than a single one.

>no observers
never going to make it

>terraforming
true minecrafters build AROUND their environment. Fakecrafters painstakingly flatten/edit the terrain around them to look boring

I WANT TO PLAY A GAME OF MINECRAFT WITH Yea Forums HOW DO I ACCOMPLISH THIS

Re downloading Minecraft and going straight into a survival world. Will Post updates

hardcore or no balls

sometime before the adventure update
stopped playing a few months after 1.0

alright, when i will end my game with my friends on a modded server i might host a server for you people here.
If besides of what i have you would suggest some mods to add to the server i might actually add them to the server. Keep in mind i use a free server renting site and therefore i would really just take mods that are only for building or QoL mods, not any shit like new dimensions and mobs needing high computing power.
i might also wanna try to rally people on a server for a one big megastructure so keep that in mind.
some of the most important mods i have are:
>industrialcraft
>mowzies mobs
>twilight forest
>inventory pets
>netherex
>just enough items
>additional addons for industrial craft and JEI
im thinking about throwing away twilight forest and netherex, since twilight forest gives a brand new dimension and netherex eats way too much memory in my experience (also the mobs are fucking unforgivable)

Dude, they're some of the most useful items. They let you transfer redstone signals in ways you couldn't dream of before their introduction.

I understand what they do and how to use them. I'm not sure how they'd solve this problem though.

ok faggot

Is this the migatte no gokui of builders?

Digging out a cave is more work than making a flat surface though.
You can always just build more on top of your house, a cave you have to keep digging.

eat the whole bowl of eggs

Why are you making me do this?

>Cobblestone
Look at this dude

How is it more work to put down specific blocks based on the decoration/floorplan of whatever house you're building than it is to just diamond pickaxe an open space for a new room?

What's that iron door for? Making the furnace look like a microwave?

My Mojang account says: 24 July, 2011

Pewdiepie is playing it, and he's Yea Forums's favorite streamer.

Stairs for the castle, Moat walls are normal, I took the screenshot at a 45 degree angle.

But I do, got about a quarter of my new 200x200 mine dug out

You rarely need diamonds after you get villagers as you can just buy diamond tools and armor from them.

I only strip mine to get my initial gear to so I can quickly make a trading hall.

creeper

Very nice, my current Desert village that I'm making isn't as good as this since it's a jumble of different styles, maybe once I can decide on a consistent style I'll make another village like this.

It literally isn't

disgusting
yes it is, are you unironically trying to tell me that you're faster at mining out a 5x5 than building it

1. Get rid of the diorite and granite
2. Replace it all with normal stone
3. Go throughout your base, replacing parts of the stone with cobblestone and andesite blocks randomly (but not too close together.)
4. Mine out bits of stone and cobblestone and replace them with stone stairs and cobblestone stairs randomly (again not too close together.)
5. add wood log support beams with corresponding planks linking them together
Every so many blocks
6. OPTIONAL: add in vegetation to the walls and floor. Mushrooms on the floor and vines/leaves on the wall give it an overgrown look

Better. Though that bit of wall going nowhere is a bit odd. It has a nice design, but why is it just a straight line, with the ends not even being anchored anywhere?

The same level of autistic you need to be to know what is in your kitchen cabinets and drawers. Not a lot. You use little printed out signs to know where your spoons and forks are? Add to that, that the time to walk in front of a chest and read the sign is about the same effort as just opening the chest and taking a look and you are just a silly goose. So stop being silly and get crackin, bongo man.

It is obviously a very tattered french flag.

>EZ emeralds

see above. fisherman are useless unless you have a guardian farm and want to dump your copious amounts of cod onto them

Spent another hour or so on this, but I'm really fucking stumped and all I want is it to work so I can copy the design and use it in my new build.

I know it would be easy to just put a space between them but that would require stretching the house out by 1 block so it's odd number width, and that's a lot of work and throw everything off.

>focuses on the house
Now you're learning.
Looks like a farm to me. See the observers? My guess is that it's a sugarcane farm specifically.

Is it possible to get this in modern Minecraft?

Spruce planks > Dark Oak planks
Lets the wood grain through instead of looking like a dark stain that basically painted the wood.
Acacia planks are too colorful. Wish we had instead a pine yellow wood with a similar dark bark, which is actually what I would've imagined was going to go in the taiga changes instead of berries everywhere.

You cannot judge wood by just its planks anymore though, as stripped logs allow another variety from the plank with a similar tone. Birch stripped logs surpass birch planks because they seem to mute the color a bit, and overall the stripped log block fits in much better with other smooth blocks like smooth stone, quartz, etc.

For me,
Logs: Oak > Dark Oak > Acacia > Spruce > Birch > Jungle
Stripped Logs: Oak > Spruce > Birch > Dark Oak > Jungle > Acacia
Planks: Spruce > Oak > Jungle > Birch > Dark Oak > Acacia

Very lucky amplified seed? Other than that you need custom gen or mod

Acacia is great for making adirondack chairs for the deck

For those of you ITT who like sharing your builds/worlds, try Overviewer, it's a nice way to get an overhead view of everything and looks very nice.
It's especially pleasing to see all of your world's accomplishments in a single place.
docs.overviewer.org/en/latest/
despite what the website may say, it is 100% compatible with 1.14.4
When you render your world, I recommend using the smooth lighting option(--rendermodes=smooth-lighting) It makes the whole thing look way much nicer, and only slightly increases the render time.

Librarian with mending makes free diamond armor useless and almost makes free diamond tools useless as well, but less so because you need silktouch and fortune variants for everything, which is lots of extra diamonds. You should've only ever need one pair of boots, pants and a helmet however.

Underground houses are pathetic and the only reason to make them is if you are in an multiplayer server

Not my house, that's just a demo image on the site.
Was only posting this because I used to see anons post images from Overviewer, and whenever I asked what the program was called I never got a response. I only recently found it on accident and have found it to be quite fun. So I thought I would share it to anyone else looking for such a program.

an observer looks at a block in front of it, watching for block updates
when it does update, it also updates itself, and sends a signal to the opposite end of itself.
in theory and in practice this can be used to create vertical chains that trigger off of some other part of a circuit kinda like pic related but less shitty looking

Yes, I know what observers are and how they work, as I mentioned in the post you quoted.

Again, I haven't figured out how I'd use an observer to power the pistons I need to, and I can't understand what your drawing is trying to demonstrate. I know you can observe a signal and send it into a piston, but observers only fire a pulse, they don't transfer a signal so they're not useful for piston extenders, and there's also redstone under those pistons so I can't just go vertically through to the pistons.

2. breed villagers
3. craft paper and sell them for infinite emerald
4. buy full diamond gears and diamond tools from villagers
5. crush the endergraon and build a simple enderman farm
6. infinite exp
7. get yourself goods books like mending from villagers
8. fully enchanted gears

I quit playing from like 2011 to last year. Played through it with my gf and now I dick around every now and then.

>1.14 comes out
>play with friend to do new villager shit
>after an hour of wandering find two villages within a dozen or so chunks from each other
>repo one of the villager's houses, start gathering materials, sleeping every night, trading and shit
>fend off some invasions
>having trouble finding some of the villagers that we leveled up
>village slowly gets more and more empty over the course of a few minecraft weeks
>no matter how much they breed the population drops to about 3 villagers
>second village wasn't even loaded most of the time, and that's populated by about 3 neet villagers
>turns out there's a bug where villagers just despawn 4noraisin

Anyone watching Sips' hardcore Minecraft streams? They're super comfy

2009-2011 mainly

Apparently 8 years ago.
Christ, I remember when mobs still respawned every morning.

Have you ever thought of doing the giant house from Summer Wars. The giant mansion is pretty comfy.

Found a villager with an insane trade
1 emerald > 1 bookshelf
1 book > 1 emerald

Infinite fucking emeralds

what about bees?

I think they stop accepting a single trade after doing it certain a number of times, or did they change that?

they restock 2-3 times a day and never lock out a trade permanently anymore

Ah, that's neat.

DQ Builders 2 > Minegay

i vaguely remember playing somewhere like on beta 1.4-1.6. I remember the day beta 1.8 came out, i was pissed that with the new update my xtracraft mod shat itself cuz of the update

Respect your elders, DQB 2 wouldn't even exist without Minecraft.

the fact that all those towers are different sizes triggers my autism to no end

Builders 2 is still better

Subjective

Holy shit same. I kind of hate it since it used to not bother me as a teenager but now as an adult everything has to be muh realism in my head. (Or at least muh suspension of disbelief)

Yeah Librarians are busted

>haha guys I'm so smart I took physics class
kys m8

i dare you to come and fix them ;)

Don't do it man

hi dada
your minecraft serb NIGGER

He is smarter in physics then you so you wouldn't understand

Made this shitty tower block but it's a pain to put anything into so I've started making a two-storey sandstone house instead which I'm really liking. On a realm with some friends btw

anyone got recommendations for good servers to just walk around and exploring shit people have built? I started playing again after like 7 years and I've just been playing on friends' small servers, outfitting their bases with autism farms and then getting bored. Other than a cave update the coolest thing I think they could add right now is more interesting blocks for long distance infrastructure it's kind of lame once you start elytra'ing everywhere.

Playing that until 6AM (which was an accomplishment for me at the time) was what made me decide to buy it.
