There's more exclusives worth playing for the Switch than any other current console.

Go on /hbg/ and read the guides on switch hacking. If yours is capable then set up an emunand for legit online play on your sysnand. Pirate everything remotely interesting and try them before deleting if they're not. If your console isn't hackable then sell the fucking thing/return it. You're going to be much less likely to buy new games for it that might appeal to you whether you like it or not when you already have a bad impression of the system.

There's so much much shit in the eshop and there are constant sales. I bought a 400gb card when I got mine and I'm literally having to delete games because there's so much to play.

Also try the handheld shit a lot more even if you just play it in bed. That's the only reason I've been more motivated to play my switch than the other consoles at the moment. I usually got indies or RPGs on PS for couch play over PC but the switch took that crown and PS4 is now just an exclusive machine for me.

I'll also back up the hacking advise simply by telling you that; prices on eshop and for some games is total bullshit. Switch tax is real.
Links Awakening will be out soon and that will be neat even if just to see the differences but charging 60 euro is crazy considering there isn't much different in terms of actual content.
A lot of ports you might want to replay like the Resi games, dragons dogma, etc, are all a bit expensive too. And trust me once you find a comfy way to play with the thing you'll find yourself wanting to replay what's ported.

Switch tax is like another little bit on top of that. Sales are much better and more frequent on other consoles too and physical copies sell for more on switch. Which is actually nice if you do buy physical because sometimes you can sell for pretty much full price depending.

My problem wasn't ignorance. I've seen the games on Switch and the main ones sold me, BOTW, SSBU and Odyssey. This is the reason I bought a Switch over any other console, the other consoles didn't have many exclusives that I thought I wanted to play desperately, But outside of that there isn't much from Nintendo, sure some of the games you listed I may play one day, but it isn't a must buy. And my problem with the Switch is that Nintendo has been focusing on re-releases rather than new games, I mean that list you provided 2 (Bayonetta and The World Ends with You) of them are straight re-releases with Mario Maker 2 basically just being a refined Mario Maker 1. So my problem with the Switch is fundamentally the path Nintendo is seemingy taking with the console, focusing on bringing back old games. Again i've got no problems, but there should be a good list of games from that generation supporting it.
And for the switch hacking I might look into it later, i'm still undecided on the whole idea.

Doom on switch is eternally full price pretty much. There's some sales on the eshop for it that bring it down to 30 but physical copies you're unlikely to find for that price last time I checked. That applies to Wolfenstein, Skyrim, Binding of Isaac, Dragonball FighterZ and some others. Some are only marginally more expensive - say 5 dollars/euros/gbs of dophin porn. Hollow Knight, Moonlighter, Dead Cells.

Well I'm mainly referring to the switch becoming my indie machine so none of what you said makes any sense. They're indies. They look the same, have the same performance and have the same content if not more because of dumb "port celebration" shit. Resolution is perfectly fine with indies in handheld because the resolution PPI is 100% acceptable for the screen size.

With the switch it really is just: Odyssey, Botw and SSBU. My friend got a switch as soon as it came out, jerked off to BotW for around a week and a half, then didnt touch it until Mario odyssey came out, repeat until SSBU.

I bought a Switch for a few reasons. Number one, it's fully hacked, so all the games are free. Number two, I hoped that some of the devs who flourished on the Vita would switch across to a slightly more powerful system now the Vita is EoL. Number three, they're putting out new revisions and shit that will make hacking newer models harder. And number four, I wanted to play DXM.

This doesn't mean people can't still be shocked by the absolute lack of games on the console. BotW is a WiiU game. Smash is trash, and Odyssey is only "passable" for a 3D Mario. Port machines do not interest anyone with a brain.

Just hack it and get the homebrew general shop to pirate everything.
Honestly the Switch is really only great for its portability. I use it all the time on the train and shit but rarely touch it at home.
