What's the Vidya equivalent of capeshit?
Stuff that has zero depth but will have gorillions of defenders who worship it?

Hey why don't you stop seething about unrelated shit and play video games.
Japanese games
>zero depth
It's about the journey and the characters. If you're looking for depth that's on you, not the films.
Skyrim
Biodrones used to be it, but they've all ether given up or killed themselves by this point.
I know what this is gonna sound like but honestly its Sony 3rd person cinematic
Mass Effect.
Dark Souls
The Elder Scrolls
Metal Gear
Zelda
super smash bros
Pokemon
(You)'re favorite game
literally all video games
Take the disney cock out of your mouth faggot
Western movie games
All style zero substance
Halo
nintendo games
What kind of fucking depth should be expected in a movie about superheroes? You guys literally call it capeshit.
Call of Duty
MMOs, mobas, tf2, halo, cod, csgo, other competitive games, esports, etc.
league of legends
Breath of the Wild
Pokémon
Any of the multiple sad dad simulators out there
JRPGs
Fortnite
>tf2
Let's see you complete a jump map

Those movie wanna be games that are highly linear, highly cinematic, movie-like, and story oriented than gameplay oriented. No, I'm not talking about games like Detroit:Become Human, I'm talking about games like God of War(2018), The Last of Us, and Uncharted. I don't know what type of genre that they should be called, so I'll just call them Movieshit games.
It's literally the MCU of video games and NO ONE can convince me otherwise. EVERYONE loves it and praises these type of games to no fucking end and I just never got it. I'm just like, if I wanna watch a movie, I'll go watch a movie.
>tf2
idiot
Just because MCU went overboard and Endgame was (trash) and DC universe is unwatchably boring doesn't mean ALL superhero movies are bad.
X-Men is amazing. It's really too bad about what Disney is about to do to it. They're going to turn the drama all the way to zero and replace it with, as some article puts it, "stale and predictable 'subversive' humor"
see
That's a stupid question. How about games based off of capes? Like Batman Arkham or Marvel Ultimate Alliance or something?
Some X-Men movies are amazing. I have never seen a movie franchise ping pong back and forth from great to shit as hard and often X-Men. Its going to be weird seeing the MCU make them consistently "alright"
All the things I don't like.
Video games are capeshit
>If you're looking for depth that's on you, not the films.
The mind of your average American, ladies and gentlemen.
Lost are the days when movies like There Will Be Blood will be not only made, but watched, understood, and appreciated. Gone are the days where AAA made good games. Vanished are the days of even morsels of quality in the mainstream.
Anything funded by snoy.
The Man Of Steel movie was about the morality of choosing between the innocents who must (by chance) die as a sacrifice to save your people. It wasn’t just about crazy fights where you knew the good guy would win, which in all superhero movies you know is the case. But the fight wasn’t the central point of the movie.
Nice fedora.
Anything with a perceived difficulty curve that makes people here think they're better than everyone else. Just take a time machine back to when Darksouls was the talk of the town. That was some fucking heavily forced popularity to the point that people thought the game's bare bones story was on the level of citizen kane because it was told by item descriptions.
twitch streamers and other e-celebs
Undertale
This Zelda especially
Snoy
Never owned one, but I can feel your seething due to low IQ.
Dc universe? Or did that die out already lol
I enjoyed Demon's Souls, but the worship that Dark Souls I received really turned me off the whole Souls genre, since I got sick of hearing about it. Then the resident console warriors started obsessing with Bloodborne for the next four years...
Thor was about not just abusing the lineage handed down to you, but literally becoming that lineage and doing right by it.
Captain America was about how you need to be more than just strength, and symbolizes how heroes aren't just about their feats, but their principles.
Iron Man 3, with it's problems, shows the tinkerer's mentality and how improvement is an ongoing process. Coming to fruition later in the Infinity War.
I could go on for nearly all the other movies. There are other concepts and ideas there, just because you saw one semi-deep inconcept in Man of Steel doesn't mean Marvel doesn't have its version. If you're just focusing on the fights, again, that's you.
Snoyshit probably
I don't understand how Endgame has a 94% on rotten tomatoes though, I thought it was fucking bad
You don't know how Rotten Tomatoes work then. It's an aggregator, brainlet.
Any Capcom game series.
Movies with depth still exist dumbfuck
You're fucking mean and now I'm going to hang myself because of your mean comments. Have fun dealing with the Twitter storm once people hear about what you've made me do
any western trash
It makes sense that you like There Will Be Blood, you're just as heavy-handed.
>movie trash
>real capeshit
pick one
Any and all AAA games, particularly the cinematic ones, like TLoU, RDR2, anything from Ubisoft, etc.
I'm guessing you're a PC player but RDR 1 and 2 are casual but patrician vidya. I prefer them to GTA any day.
Battle Royale, and the survival genre in general. Completely trash, forgettable games that are beloved by millions.
Thing that's popular and I don't like, but not the thing that's popular and I do like
Dragon Quest
