Engine on fire, at 10 wumpa you will get blue fire which is the fastest in the game. If you can maintain it through boosting you will be able to win any race

>a meter will now build up, if you press the opposite shoulder button you will boost
>if you do this towards the end of the meter you will get a stronger/longer boost
>you can boost three times in one slide before you have to jump and start sliding again to start a new set of boosting
3 tiers of boosting
>normal (red fire coming out of your exhaust)
you get this from boosting normally or a boost cannister item
>sacred fire(bright yellow)
you get this from hitting a boost pad or using the Boost item that is a red cannister with 10 wumpa
>ultimate sacred fire(blue fire)
you get this from certain boost pads or the boost engine with 10 wumpa
If you start boosting before you hit a boost pad you will be able to increase the duration of either sacred fire or ultimate sacred fire. This will let you go faster for a longer period of time.
Another thing you should know about is wumpa. Each wump makes you go faster and at 10 wumpa you get juiced up versions of the item you pick up
