Easily the worst 3D mario with the shittiest mechanics, shittiest level designs, worst music, worst setting. It's horrible. The only good thing that can come from it now is if it gets a re-release and people finally realize how awful it was because it wasn't their first childhood mario game.

I like it, but it’s clearly rushed and shows in a lot of areas.

>like 25% of the shines are “that level”
>minibosses and bosses in general are pretty mediocre, the minibosses in particular are really overused too

It’s got a lot of issues people like to forget about because they grew up with it. I love the atmosphere and music but it has some severe faults.

Because the nozzle, which is fun, but they kept this gadget thing after Luigis Mansion which was unexpected. Its like people got a true sequel of 64 with Galaxy and Sunshine its something else. Personally, its the game which I have spent more time just messing around. And the summer vacation setting is comfy as fuck.

I’d guess a Super Mario Sunshine HD version or remaster with Odyessey’s engine.

Sunshine is great movement wise, but as someone who likes to 100% most games he plays, it's a fucking chore to do that in Sunshine by a significant margin in comparison to most other Mario games
I still prefer it over games like Galaxy 1 and 3D Land, but goddamn some of the shines in that game are just fucking miserable and I tend to like 64 and Odyssey more as a result
