I don't play normie games anyway

What makes people think Stadia is going to be popular with normies? What benefit does Stadia offer to the consumer?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

???
If Stadia is a threat than it would be a threat to consoles which are much more normalfag focused than PC.

>input lag will be popular!
LMAO.

>being a free shill
utter yikes

Normies don't care about input lag.

Input lag is one thing, but once single-player games start buffering on the average Joe's shoestring Wi-Fi connection with ISP-imposed bandwidth caps, there will be issues.

They do, even if they don’t recognize it as input lag
Normies complain about shit “feeling slow” or “feeling bad” when they encounter a game with a lot of input lag or choppy framerate

Just like Onlive was, right?

>poor people with shitty internet can't use this for their toaster PCs
>people who already have good PCs or even consoles won't suddenly ditch them for this
Who is this for anyway? People who want to play Destiny 2 on their office PC?

Mark my words.
Stadia will fail spectacularly.
It will send a small wave through the industry and scare up and coming console makers because even GOOGLE failed to make something of it.

Doesn’t Stadia run off of PCs? Stadia is going to bomb horribly. It will have problems and lag but I bet it works most of the time but nobody will give a fuck.

Streaming games in real time will never be the future because of TCP/IP limitations. It will never happen. Using modular rack-based hardware running VMs to power video games is not a viable gaming platform in 2019. Or 2029. Some people see it as the inevitable future but anybody who works with TCP/IP networking knows that will never happen.

To elaborate, broadcast domains are very chatty and TCP/IP packets have to be fragmented. If they’re flagged with a don’t fragment bit they can get dropped if the packet exceeds the MTU which by standard is 1500 and jumbo packets will never be in consumer networking gear. There is also WiFi which is the most popular form on consumer networking and it’s always going to be full of latency and have RF issues. QOS and packet prioritization doesn’t exist over the internet or in consumer networks. It’s not a viable infrastructure for real time video games, it’s not, it never will be. They need to replace the internet and networking with entirely different technologies to overcome this fact. I don’t be IPv6, that’s the same shit.

This

Also, one of the biggest successes of STEAM, and other gaming platforms, are the combination of affordability and convenience.
Statdia will fail in convenience because there will be no way to get the same quality, responsiveness, and ease of use that a downloaded game with license can get you.

user pls they always bitch about lag and it's going to be worse when they notice it happening in single player games

They probably won't, but they will most likely think Stadia is a Netflix for games and get mad that they have to buy each game individually at full price. That's what everyone else I know thought.

It's the Wii U all over again.

>Tick Tock console fags.
ftfy. PC is for more than just gaming, while consoles only do just the one thing that is easily replaceable.

enjoy those streaming apps, OP.

Stadia is DOA

>Buy games full price
>max out your data cap in 8 hours
>play games at 144p with 5 seconds of input lag
>lose games when service dies in base price is not significantly cheaper than a real console
Wow you sure showed us

Google claims you can get 1080p 60 with 10mbps so they can sell it to poor people who are more inclined to spend $15 a month than $400 upfront

You still have to pay full price for the games. There is no benefit, normies will ignore it and stick with their playstations.
