The boring-ass combat.

Absolute brainlet.

Not on Switch.

The characters, plot and gameplay

Non-western developer

>used the same rush attack 5 times in a row, then watched a short battle cutscene
man, i like the game but this webm does it no favours

Mahjong and Shogi make me wanna die.

They used Kamurucho yet again

You could have used a webm of a modded moveset which actually makes the combat better

that's the point of the webm
that's why it's always posted

it actually starts after chapter 4and also has that slow first chapter god damnit

so fucking what
stupid secondary

>Retarded AI just stands around and watches while their friends get beaten up

>so fucking what
Proof that Yakuzafags will eat absolutely anything from RGG studios

not an argument

not gonna lie this is one of the shittiest fight webms i have ever seen and you gotta try really hard with yakuza combat, bro just spam forward and square lmao

these tbqh

I have no fucking idea how Mahjong works and my first time playing it in this game made me feel like a brainlet

real estate

Movie, instead of video game.

but what if movie game

>flaw

Makes all the prior Yakuza feel like crap in comparison, especially the ones that target 30fps.

Good story but repetitive gameplay and ps3 level graphics

wait are you telling me a ps3 game has ps3 graphics?

>haha it's okay bro who cares if they reusse the same city for the 10th time!
lol

Disco sucks and mahjong

it's mostly filler
I enjoyed it but if you want to do most everything it's 25+ hours of dumb grinding, I would have liked the game more if it was half the length

>haha it's okay bro who cares if they reusse the same city for the 10th time!
This but unironically.

movie game

>another thread with the same webm and Barry replying to himself

yawn

It ruins the other games if you play it early.

>flaw

The game switches me to another character the moment I'm starting to actually get invested in the current character's plot.

graphically it looks like a launch ps3 game... or at times even a ps2 game.

Majima feels stronger even though Kiryu is stronger lore wise.

>mfw taught myself how to play mahjong just to plat yakoozer games
>now I get to be smug while half of Yea Forums seethes over mahjong

Game can burn you out fast if you pay too much attention to side content.

...

You never owned a PS2, right?

>cutscene

youtube.com/watch?v=CKiFfCE949s
youtube.com/watch?v=pgY6la6rhg4

To be fair, the entire game is mostly cutscenes.

Ok
>Kiryu side of the game is nowhere near as fun or interesting
>real estate business is basically a mobile game in terms of gameplay, while cabaret club at least involves DOING something
>endgame purchasing boils down to just hunting down and grinding Mr Shakedown to get the money you need
>thug is probably one of the worst styles the series has had and all of Majima's other styles both feel better to play and are more effective in combat
>the only way bosses ever become difficult is when they add mooks into the fight who stagger you mid-combo on the boss
>whoever came up with how Beast Mode's training works should be fucking fired
>the above Mr. Shakedown grinding basically requires that you carry around 5-10 Slime Guns with you at all times since it's the only thing that beats them with any relative speed
>they didn't even bother to remake the Yakuza 4 cutscenes when they do flashbacks which makes the change in graphical quality really obvious and jarring

I'm not trying to hate, Y0 is legit one of my favorite PS4 games and I even double-dipped to get it on PC. But it definitely has flaws that subjectively keep me from giving it a 10/10.

Based.

I don't want to find flaws with this game, I really REALLY love it. But man it has some big ones.

It's easy, even on legendary it's piss easy after the first few hours.

You don't have to do the real estate or the cabaret club. Not even for substories.

In fairness that's every Yakuza game really.

Yes but the game WANTS you to do them, so it having problems should be noted.

>that american on the back
kek

I never even used dragon style.

Once you know the basics it's quite comfy.

>exact same thing
>absolutely anything

Shakedown is pointless if you grind the Cabaret Club or Real Estate though.

>Not having both a PS4 and a Switch

life must suck.

Brawler is unironically better because it has more frames of hyper armor on its moves. Mad Dog of Shimano however is ungodly OP because its counter move has a million frames catch the opponent with and always does minimum a full health bar of damage.

My nigga Goro didn't end up with the girl

The protagonists of these games never get their girl

Nobody mentions this stuff either.
>The whole game is terribly paced, jerking you back and forth between two perspectives. As soon as one side of the story gets juicy, they switch to the other.
>Having two perspectives adds nothing to the narrative, the game could've had one character be the central character of the entire story with very minor tweaks to what's in 0 right now.
>Majima, despite being a more active decision maker in the story with legitimate emotional investment in what happens, is sidelined by Kiryu, who passively does what he is told by Real Estate man, and does none of the planning or decision making for himself.
>Majima's purpose in the plot is undermined later on by Kiryu, and Kiryu has some of the most braindead character motivations.
>0 has some of the most ridiculous character decision making, like Kiryu working so hard to escape Kamurocho just to walk right back in with no circumstances having changed, with only "punch everyone" as his plan.
>Shibusawa is a totally uninteresting character despite being the final boss of the game, and is overshadowed by Awano and Kuze.
>A significant amount of money/experience and the final combat styles are locked away behind pretty lackluster minigames.
>Cabaret club is a charming minigame initially, but the cabaret girls after Yuki are poorly acted by pornstars for the sake of novelty, and they lack detail in their writing. Plus the entire minigame is a giant grind and some sidewalk hugging to get more fans.
>Real estate minigame is more hugging the sidewalk from the cabaret minigame for hours and waiting for the profits to come in.

I thought we will see how Kiryu and Majima met and become friends. Ending with Kiryu going back to Dojima after completely fucking him up was dumb. Too much cutscenes and blabbering about nothing typical for Japanese games writing.
Still fun game with charm.

This is why I only played first one on PS2 and 0 on current gen. It's the most rehashed action game ever. Literally japanese fifa.

It ended.

Not enough Majima

Yazkuza 6 is unironically superior. Prove me wrong. You can’t.

I thought it was going to be how they became enemies. I expected Majima to blame Kiryu over the girl dying or something but it never panned out.

I've heard it's one of the worst.

>I've heard
Post discarded.

I also didn't mention.
>Majima's transformation into the loony he is in the series proper is poorly handled. The game ends and suddenly he puts on a snake skin jacket, gets a haircut and he's wild and crazy now. The best explanation I've heard was someone told me according to a writer/creator that Majima constructed his crazy Yakuza personality based on some of the older figures he met in 0. The actual game doesn't work that hard to get this across to the player.
>Sagawa gets pissed Majima doesn't kill the girl, and falls flat on all his empty threats because he is nowhere near as capable as Majima and needs a pawn, making him look like an idiot. So he beats him up a bit and sends him out to do more of what he asks. Majima doesn't even understand the kind of leverage he has at this point.

I thought he modelled himself on Nishitani.

>>Majima's transformation into the loony he is in the series proper is poorly handled.
This. I thought we will get a final conclusion what changed him so much, but nothing like that happened.

It doesn't have superior PS2 Kiryu

Yakuza's the only game that actually does feel cinematic in its cutscenes though. Scene directions in most games is total dogshit while scene direction in Yakuza actually feels professional.

How so?

The Ps2 version is missing dat traditional fog

Other than Tanimura, does Yakuza 4 remastered have any other major differences from the original?

Too many cutscenes if you compare to the number of good fights

Kiryu is far too handsome.
