I think the tools for UE4 are not as easy to use.
In Source you literally type in text and half the work is already done, then you just need to adjust some keyframes.

Then why are they using UE4 if it's going to make doing a key part of the original this much harder? It's not like Source games can't have good melee combat or verticality or look nice.

It's the same version from E3 so there might be a better version, but i really wouldn't hold my breathe. On their discord the developers keep spewing how it's just pre alpha build and that all the concerns about animations and such are in the polish portion of the game, but it's just damage control nonsense.

Devs don't understand a lot about the original game, even if the writing is good, this game has many hurdles to overcome.

Unreal Engine is significantly easier to use than Source.

If you watch in slow motion, it was on her head for a few of the shots but it still seems like they didn't land. Not that it didn't happen in the original either, your Ranged stat still affected accuracy especially.

For the ammo count on the lower right hand side though, there's another number next to what's currently in the gun, so I don't think you'll be forced to throw away empty guns every time. You'll probably be able to keep one and reload if you have the ammo.
