Is it viable to do videogames for a living?
Why do you keep posting this you weirdo?

only if your a trend-hopping streamer
If you when the lotto as a streamer, yes. Good luck with that though
more mature discussion than this board
>is it viable
Yes.
>is it viable for me?
Maybe. Kinda depends more on your content making and networking skills.
I'm just going to play the local lottery, better odds of winning.

>Yea Forums meetup
>This is what 23 year old zoomers on Yea Forums look like
>thats how average Yea Forums poster looks like
Am I supposed to be mad at this?
All kids do stupid, cringy shit.
It's literally all about luck and following trends.
You might get lucky, but if you don't keep following the trends, you'll be left in the dust.
You might follow the trends, but you might just not get lucky.
The """"""""""""""safest bet""""""""""""" would be to do it on the side while juggling a real job.
Isn't it difficult for Zoomers to assess something like that when they know nothing else?
I bet they're having a more civil and argumented discussion than the average Yea Forums thread
>Yea Forums is full of nothing but wealthy suburban kids
I can see that
>Yea Forums is full of nothing but kids
It checks out.
Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates
You won't make it unless you have a likable personality that people want to donate to. I don't think anybody actually donates to Twitch/YouTube streamers because of their gaming skills.

As someone who's really good at gay men. I have to say no.
In theory you could get really good at a game over the summer. To a professional level. But you will need to be sure to constantly improve. And you need a situation where you are given the time to dedicate everything to it. And even then, if you manage to get better than millions, chances are there are many thousands who will stay better than you.
The alternative is becoming a game reviewer. If you have good charisma, or work to get it, then you could try to become one.
It has much better odds than becoming a pro gamer.
