I'd say it's nice to have one run where you poach everyone from the rival houses, particularly in GD. It does take a punch out of the story, but you're going to be doing at least two more playthroughs, and it gives you an idea of what students are actually worth poaching later.

Alright brace yourself because this is going to get autistic, and I came up with this because of Byleth's namesake.
Now for the first part the game plays normally for the most part, except Jeralt does not get Monica'd, which in turn means you don't get banished to the shadow realm and thus do not fuse with Sothis. So when you go down in the Tomb and Rhea does the Ritual, Sothis is reborn. However instead of Sothis sublimating your body, Sothis emerges from you as an entirely new being, though she's kinda pissed at what Rhea did and fucks off immediately, leaving your empty 'dead' vessel of a body behind. Next thing you know you wake up in Shambhala where it's revealed that the Imperial Army took your body and gave you to the Slithers since they were interested in you, and through some experimentation they were able to have you come back to life, albeit as the husk you were at the beginning of the game (though more demonic looking). Intrigued by this, Thales decides it'd be interesting to go send you to fuck up Garreg Mach since Edelgard failed to take it, and since from your point of view, Rhea just fucking killed you, you run with it. You charge in to the church with some slither mooks much to the surprise of everyone and you go beat up Rhea which triggers her to go completely mad so she goes dragon and kills you...except this new form of yours means that you'll rise again. Which you do, in the abandoned ruins of Garreg Mach. Thales is most pleased with this and decides he'll also free Nemesis and dispose of Edelgard as she is no longer useful (though you can convince him to keep her alive since she'll be good for experiments) so you go with Thales and Unga McBunga to go take out Edelgard. Cue the 5 year timeskip where the Narrator says everything is in anarchy and has gone to shit since Edelgard and Dimitri is missing, and from there you can decide what you want to do.

And people think her support with Dimitri is better. Honestly her Lorenz one was way better. Lorenz is based as fuck and deserves a shy big titted wife who he adores.

If you train him as a mage he's pretty good with it. Hell, every mage with a crest is good with it. Lorenz and Lysithea just get to have halved damage every now and then

The stars mean that someone has a budding talent in that trait. If you train it up they'll receive a boost in learning those skills. usually they're there for late game classes so like training Sylvain in magic for Dark Knight

Usually I try to keep only one of each class, two at most if I really like two characters who excel at the same thing and its a good class. Also for main characters I will keep them in their unique class usually. In TH I kept my Byleth as hero, EO is too fucking ugly even fory canon autism.

I do the same mostly. I try to stick to only one unit per endgame class and each character's class progression usually sticks to their strengths without much deviation in other weapons or mobility. The lords also stick to their unique classes. The exception to this is NG+ Byleth in order to spice things up a bit since going EO each time would be boring

It doesn't have the negative speed growth Mortal Savant does but it also doesn't have Tomefaire as an innate ability. I guess it's good for leveling if you planned on having Byleth as a mixed attacker but it doesn't have much going for it otherwise

For how early you unlock it, it's not a bad class if you want to use both swords and magic. It's just that if you're going full physical you're better off in a different class with better growths and once you hit level 30, Mortal Savant might be better because of the innate Tomefaire
