Immersion isn't the biggest problem. Juggle is way too easy in SoR4, that's why this stupid rebound exists - devs didn't know how to make it non exploitable. And in the alpha you couldn't even use specials defensively - those moves had no i-frames. Not sure whether or not devs fixed it. One of them did replied to antho's video, so they maybe fixed some of the bad stuff. We shall see

Honestly, it's cool to think about a new Sega console, but reality is that market trends are completely different and avery genre they used to be specialized in is dead. They would either have to crap out an Xbox/Ps4 clone focused on shitty western shooters/open world/games as a service garbage, or some horrible casual oriented gimmick machine like the Wii.
It's a nice fantasy, but it would make no sense.

Monster Boy was a cool game but not as great as some reviewers pretended it was.
They tried very hard to fill the game with exaggeratedly on-the-nose references, they gathered a composer dream team only to make them rearrange old tracks, they tried to make it anime style but the result was very inconsistent, and they focused really a lot on constant puzzle elements for no good reasons.
Nice game overall, but they failed to capture the true heart of the series, and i wish Westone was still around.

Sega treated its ip like fucking shit for about 25 years and more and they basically hold no value whatsoever.
The only brand they can actually cash on is MegaDrive/Genesis, and that's wehat they're costantly doing right now.
Arcade genres are dead and hold no value to today's gamers, people pretend to be into games like JSR or Panzer Dragoon or VF becaus it's cool but no one would actually buy and play them.

As someone that follows SEGA somewhat closely you're insane if you actually believe this. They've been slowly downsizing their in-house studios over the decades and purchasing outside studios (mainly western) or lending out their IPs to contractors, and the trend still continues. Every year that passes SEGA is a little bit less SEGA and will eventually become a publisher with a bunch of western studios and a handful of in-house studios. People are often surprised when I bring this up, but SEGA as a corporate entity is actually owned by a merger with SAMMY, in which they're actually called SEGA-SAMMY the most underwhelming merger in gaming history.

Also reminder that one of the most important and still to this day very competent studios, SEGA AM2, is working almost exclusively on the most niche market in the world, Arcades.

Yakuza 3's western release wasn't originally "censored", there was cut content because they had major time constraints and didn't think people would care if they stuffed like 50% of the side content.
The intent wasn't to censor icky humor. Yakuza 3's remaster is censored everywhere, Japan included, because cross dressing humor apparently is too insensitive now thanks to trannies like you.

Yeah, basically all the talent left the company and Sega is now a PC western publisher with a couple of tiny in-house japanese studios since about the late 2000s, and people that like to scream about how much Sega is now reborn because of Persona and Yakuza are pretty much retards.
That said, there's some kind of progress going on, they stated for the first time in about 15 years that they're ditching mobile gaming to focus on consoles/pc, they're bringing back Sakura Wars with bigger-than-usual budget and production values, they're localizing Yakuza games with way more care and a faster pacing than ever, they're outsourcing their ips rather than doing nothing with them, and so on.

Sega will never be back for me until they do this. And inb4 "but the old Phantasy Star games wrapped up nicely", I just liked the feel of the games more than the hyper sci-fi direction the series took after (not to say that PSO/PSU are bad games). Even a remake, mainly for 3, or Sega Ages ports for the rest of the series would be good at this point. They're probably working on a new Tony Taka Shining rn but I can only hope that one day they'll get it together and make one that really competes with FE again, without Tony Taka involved.
