This is something I've found that's weird about Danganronpa. It's not limited to one character or their fanbase either, but they tend to be hypocrites. They can dislike one character of something that can be attributed to another they like. Teruteru's one example where he follows the same perversions as widely liked characters such as Miu. Aoi gets treated like some cute best girl despite trying to kill everyone for "muh friends" but Sayaka's hated for trying to kill one guy and frame another for her friends. Kazuichi gets shit for the same thing Tenko and Toko are guilty of. That's not even touching the mass murderers and crazies. I've seen people compare Togami to those psychos. It's weird all around.

DR3 is completely different than V3. DR3 continues the Hope's Peak story while V3 is set is an alternate universe.
In fact I'd recommend skipping DR3 entirely unless you really, really want to see more Hope's Peak shit. It's not exactly good.
