Do controllers need more buttons now?
Do controllers need more buttons now?
Can I buy that?
6 button controllers are based
unironically a good controller
what a train wreck of a controller
Everyone is like "RRRRRRRREEE THIS IS SHIT" even though it looks amazing.
I like these
I’m a girl btw

not a fan of the shield d-pad, otherwise it looks fine
yes, 6 face buttons and paddles on the back would be good
That's what a Saturn d-pad looks like, don't know what I can offer.
It certainly works okay for my purposes.
Yes
6 Buttons should have been the future but history is written by the winners
>still no news on this
uuugggh
Scroll wheel shoulder buttons.
They said "summer" but that seems to be shoving off. I keep hammering their Facebook page about it.
Last report was "fall/winter"...
They do, but they shouldn't be in front. If they're in front, they should at least not be main buttons but more like shortcut buttons (menus, weapon switching, etc..)
The future should be buttons on the backside so your idle fingers have shit to so and you won't need to take your thumbs off the sticks.
are you guys retarded? Hori controller are made specifically for fighting games and the button spread is made to mimic arcade button layout the switches in the middle are so you can change how the button layout is
Too bad they didn't do it. That's such a cool idea.
>was supposed to release last year
>retro-shits went silent on that
Fuck those faggots, the fuck is taking them so long?
You can do this with the XBOX elite controllers. It takes so much getting used to that it isn't worth it. Even just using it for a single button will take 1-2 hours to get used to, and even more to have it be effortless.
Here's your controller bro
>controller melts overtime due to materials used
Can't get too mad, their Saturn controllers they have released are regarded as quality.
I've heard that thing is actually super comfortable.
Seems like it'd be heavy but that could just be perception.
Controllers just need two buttons. One marked "make something awesome happen" and one marked "purchase DLC".
A fifth face button would do wonders. So many games have to either sacrifice a jump button or sacrifice something for a jump button. E.g. BotW had shitty dodging to accommodate jumping.
Question is what would be an ideal button layout for a five button controller that is ergonomic and doesn't mess with existing muscle memory too much.
isn't that the same thing, I think 1 button is fine
or you could just have more buttons in the back, you know, for other fingers. Instead of having to juggle between the camera and jumping.

Is this a game controller or part of a space shuttle command computer?
read
Amazon lists it as about 2.2 pounds, it's pretty hefty.
>looks amazing
there's your problem
there are a lot of issues controllers can have when you actually USE them versus just LOOKING at them
try ordering one of those shitty bootleg Saturn USB controllers off eBay and you'll see what I mean
fuck no, if you need more than four face buttons, two shoulder buttons/triggers/whatever, two clickable sticks, a dpad, and a few auxiliary start/select/back/whatever buttons then you either 1) are making steel battalion (which is okay) or 2) you need to redesign your fucking game
>try ordering one of those shitty bootleg Saturn USB controllers off eBay and you'll see what I mean
I ordered one from china 10 years ago for 10 bucks and it still works without issues.
best controller i have ever owned
the controller is literally made for full customization for fighters whats so bad about that?
>that numbering for the face buttons
WAT WER DEY TINKING?!?
Pretty good but my PS4 controller has a cracked down-right direction because of EWGF troubles.
The Xbox One version is fine but I haven't played as much Tekken with it.
i have them both too, im saving the ps4 one for when the xbone one dies.
can't it be both?
gross why the fuck would you even own an xbone i got the ps4 one for kof 98 and it works great
I think 6 face buttons should be the new standard.
because microsoft based products are usually plug n play on pc and sony products aint
what's wrong with it, start at 1 and then it's a clockwise sequence all the way to 6
>PC
you mean windows
it's plug and play and Linux and I think some variants of BSD too
They clearly do when 99% of console games use the D-pad for stuff that is not movement.
Some people here are simply gamers and not software activists.
My friend had the full collection of these and they were probably my favorite controllers to ever use for fightan
why can't windows have this
I purchased one myself, how much did it last you and how hard is it to KBD/EWGF/EWHF with it? (p1 and p2 side included)
Asking since I recently sold my hitbox because I hate the fact they are too big and I like having controllers not boxes to play with
Really? These are almost universally reviled.
I was thinking of getting one or two in case I decide to lap up Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO for the Xbox.
I still use it so it hasn't stopped working, I was just noting that slamming the down-right direction to nail EWGFs is what caused it to crack.
I play on the left, usually, so I haven't damaged the down-left direction to do the same.
I really liked the dpad and having a genesis style layout was nice aswell
The holographic in the middle that did an animation was 10/10 to
The ps3 sf4 controllers that looked similiar were ass though
Had a fucking terrible response time
However I just found out there were wired versions so maybe they were better
show boypussi
6-face buttons should have been the standard.
Thanks, here's yours.
as silly as it looks, that controller still works fine for what it was intended for
but if you get something special for racing games, it might as well be a wheel
