I like it quite a bit, but the game is just too damn easy. There are a lot of cool things you can do in the game like in your webm, but Nintendo didn't account for any of them so the game is way too easy and simple. If Nintendo makes Odyssey 2 and cranks the difficulty up it will be GOAT

The movement really made the game from me. I played through the first half using normal movement but I learned the hat dive thing and it changed the entire game. Every area is now a place for exploration to find ways to skip small parts and move around better.

Enjoy your inferior edition on DQXI I guess.

I think it's a tad overrated. It has some of the best 3D Mario levels with New Donk City or the Lost Kingdom but most of the levels were way too small with too many repeated moons. Great game, but A Hat in Time was the superior 3D plattformer in 2017.

It's a pretty damn good game. They should have scrapped the thousand moon bullshit and just did what Mario 64 did. A bunch of clever moons to get would have been a lot more fun. A lot of people are going to miss a lot of stuff because some moons are fun to get some are just boring as fuck. Nobody is gonna collect all the moons.

Just wish it wasn't so short.
