I loved the adventure games from A Triangle Morning. Pretty much of all of his games were made to troll the player (such as having some paths lead to not just one, but several consecutive Game Overs), but they all had a very good sense of humor to them.

To this day I'm not sure if Which-Way-Adventure has a canonical Win screen.

The golden era of flash games was something truly wonderful. They began like shitty time killers but eventually they turned into the baseline of what a lot of the indie game industry is today. In its sweetest moment we got new good and complex games every week, all exploring different genres and with devs putting their creativity in them. Some of the best indie games we have today literally began there

I love the flash gaming era as a whole and it's a bit sad to see it go to be replaced by a greedier model. Sure we get better quality today, but the fertile soil where people used to create and experiment is getting dry.

Newgrounds, Kongregate, Armor Games... I'll miss the good times you gave me.

I recently got Flashpoint and discovered this in it. It's a full-blown fighting game with its own systems and honestly it plays pretty fucking well (if you can deal with weird shit like no damage scaling and every single normal being special/super-cancelable on hit, block, AND whiff). Also it has Ryu, Chun, Haohmaru, & Moriya from Last Blade for some reason despite being a KOF game. It's pretty recent too, it has KOFXIII key art and one of the super modes you can choose to activate straight up gives you Drive Cancels and Max Cancels.
