Mana is shit

>Mana is the single worst concept that Paradox has ever implemented into their games. It makes your strategy depend on random.

It was shit in EU4,but neglect it by good economy and country buffs on rulers.
So Paradox decided to implement even more mana in IMPERATOR.
No wonder this game so shitty.

>paradox are retarded and mana is shit
There isn't much to discuss about facts.

I wouldn't even hate it that much if there was only one type of resource in that game that was mana, but it doesn't work if the entire fucking game runs on mana.

>le ebin may may in-game joke about something our customers hate
I fucking hate this attitude about turning shit customers complain about into a "quirky joke"
Like that shit with Bethesda making jokes about the fact they fail at playtesting their games and bug removal.

CK2 and Vicky 2 were the best Paradox games because they had the most QoL improvements without implementing mana

>>Mana is the single worst concept that Paradox has ever implemented into their games.
>Not patches that kill fun

Counterpoint; You are a casual faggot who doesn't know what he's talking about, and when Paradox removes mana from Imperator and it's still shit I will be dabbing on your grave.

You are absolutely right, theres not much to discuss, other that thers much more wrong with it than just being random, also fuck paradox and fuck that fat piece of shit johan

Imperator is gonna be shit even when they remove mana, that doesn't mean mama isn't shit.
It just means Imperator is a massive load of shit.

Then removing mana would not change the overall quality of EU4.

Mana is good. I love mana. The RNG forces you out of your comfort zone to actually make up new strategies based on what resources you get.

Lots of admin? Go conquer shit. Lagging behind in military? Schmoze up some allies. Overflowing with Dip? Might as well pick the Trade idea group so you can start unlocking national ideas.

Cash/gold/money is another set of mana system but I never see these simpletons complaining about that. Same with manpower and research.
Anything that's numerical is basic mana

Why would games based around history have a fantasy concept in them?

Im a casual. Only 500hrs in EU4.

Don't think Swedes pay in cents, anglomutter

>Why would a game have gameplay mechanics?

Though we don't have a minimum wage law so technically they could pay us in worthless currency.

>Mana is the single worst concept that Paradox has ever implemented into their games
I say mana as it is is the worst concept in games in general.

50 öre

That's just 5 öre you fool, lrn2money

I couldn't find an öre symbol, so I went with the symbol of the full "dollar" equivalent.

Yes. Bet you can't explain that

I don't think they even have öre anymore. I know the fjordniggers next door basically did away with them some years ago and is now more or less non-existent

>gameplay mechanic has to be fantasy-based
Why did you post a picture of yourself?

We still have them, though not in solid form. Nobody in Sweden uses currency anymore. Muggers here force people at knifepoint to walk over to an ATM and withdraw money for them because there's nothing for them to steal.

Mana is just one of the problems in modern Paracucks shit.

>God I hate mana
>thank God this real game don't use that shitty system
>Now let's research a tech
>oh man look at those numbers slowly growing
>once I get 100 science points I get the tech!
Actually, the paradox mana isn't inherently bad. It forces you to prioritise what to spend on due to covering a range of stuff instead a singular use like typical research points or culture points like in Civ.
Took some time getting used to, but I like it.
