I restarted the game. Am like 60 hours in and am really enjoying it. I didnt leave my power armor for a minute besides crafting and sleeping. Heavy weapons and rifles playthrough. I gotta say, the story is irrelevant as long as you have fun modifying weapons and your power armor and slapping raiders around with a gattling laser.

Most good mods involve ripping out parts of fallout 4 in an effort unfuck it and the porn mods are trash that not only aren't updated maintained or organised but also are buggy as shit and don't work with most of the other mods you'd go for with porn mods like hairstyles companion npc replaces and face animation de-lizarding

The main story of FO3 was kind of shit, but FO4 takes the cake. It tries so hard to make you emotionally invested and care. At least I've heard some of the quests unrelated to the main story are decent. That's pretty much every Bethesda made game though.

Damn people are going hard on Fallout 4 tonight. No the story is already made for you, you just get to pick between 4 different but similar factions. I enjoy Fallout 4, I imagine my character believes his kid is dead, and goes off to explore. It's always fun doing things your own way and sticking to the western part of the map without good weapons and getting destroyed by ghouls and those mosquito fuckers

the first 2 hours or so of the game's plot is frontloaded with a shitton of content, because that's all that the majority of reviewers play, and because that's what people are going to be seeing on streams on launch day. it was a very effective marketing strategy but sadly (and unsurprisingly) they couldn't keep that momentum up for anything after the auto plant and 90% of the game's content was lukewarm garbage.
fallout 3 was also terrible, but if you were 12 when you first played it you might not have noticed.
