Candy and all the females in this series have a big issue which may explain why they've largely disappeared from the franchise, they all have the Kong last name. So that means there's a lot of incest undertones going on. Even TMNT had the decency to declare the turtles as not related to debut Venus.

Is it just me or does the DK series have the most amount of failed villains? I'm not saying Manky Kong is a major villain as it's just a disposable ape enemy.

The point is besides him there's been those evil apes from the Bongo Drum games, there's also the Tikis who no one liked, and then the Viking Ice Gang that also no one likes. The only villains people like in this series is K Rool and his kremlings.
