I'm ending levels with all areas explored but 1-3 enemies left alive even though they are absolutely nowhere to be found. Build Engine kills things when they go out of bounds so do those enemies just end up out of bounds and does the ingame counter just fail to count those deaths?

Hedon's more narrative driven (i.e. shitloads of text documents to read) and has more complex objectives than simply finding keys. Bombshell has less items to use and much less LOCKED IN ROOM NOW FIGHT HORDE moments.

Basically, Bombshell is more of a true throwback with a more striking art style. Both are very good in their own ways.

One problem with Ion Fury is that the revolver alt-fire cause auto headshot. This make enemies like those floating skeletons to be killed faster with the revolver than with the shotgun, for example.
Alt-fire should aim at the center of the enemy, so it would remain effective for killing things like those flying heads, but not effective for larger enemies.
Headshot should reward the player's good aim, not reward the use of an automatic shot. The developers of this game, besides being gay who bow to pedophiles, are still dumb.

It doesn't seem like it's a headshot though. The revolver kills mooks with one headshot, two chest shots or two shots when autoaiming. And with headshots there's a decapitation.

The "anti-tumor" doctor was actually a reference to "global cooling" from back in the 80s which was thought to be caused by the same things as global warming just instead of warming things up until it's unlivable, they thought it would cool things down until we entered another ice age. You are using common sense to explain something on a planetary scale that involves a multitude of variables. So it is a stupid explanation.

What is a mook? I played yesterday and the revolver seemed more effective at killing those flying skeletons than the shotgun. But only when using alt-fire. If it's not headshot, then alt-fire has another effect (maybe boost damage?) That makes it more effective than it should.

But if you use the revolver normally, aiming at the center of the body of those flying skeletons, you need to shoot more than using the revolver's alt-fire to kill them.

revolver is not "more effective than it should", you won't use alt-fire to kill enemy while you're trying to dodge their attack (and you WILL be forced into such situation most of the time) because slowdown it gives you will kill you. It's good against small or flying units and when you enter the area to snipe several cultists, otherwise use shotty/crossbow/penetrator
