The ONLY benefit to streaming is that you'll get a quick response to your comment, but the content itself can never be improved from streaming

There are only a few streamers I watch namely Macaw45 and Kilg0re_Tr0ut (the latter of whom also streams for the official GOG channel), mostly as background noise while I'm browsing Yea Forums. Comfy streams with fewer than 500 viewers are a lot more enjoyable than whatever the fuck is featured on the front page at any given moment.

I'd never donate to a streamer though.

Twitch streams, like free-to-play games with microtransactions, are meant to be casually enjoyed by a large number of people who are just passing the time, while only a small number of idiot whales actually care about them and fund them.

I always used to watch Jerma videos and seeing him stream he's still consistently as funny.

99% of streamers are garbage entertainment. If I'm trying to git gud at a competitive game, watching pros can be helpful. Beyond that though and I'd rather be on chaterbate.

I stopped caring about immersion a while back. I just can't get immersed anymore, probably because I'm getting old. I only play chill games now with some background noise like streamers or music.
