No, Link's mother left him at the Deku tree and died. Link was raised by te Deku tree, but was more or less left to fend for himself once he was old enough to pass for a Kokiri.

Like in paper Mario, link chapters punctuated by Zelda chapters, but not as short or restricting as peach chapters. Maybe make the game like 80% Link game, 20% Zelda at the least and 50/50 at most. Perhaps using beating temples as the point to switch between them. Except in segments that involve both, in which case there is a switch character mechanic like in Resident Evil 0.

Not official, but I take it as Navi being the way the player connects to Link. You don't control him until they meet, and once the adventure is over she leaves so you no longer control him again.

Isn't Link's clothing retconned into different shit depending on the game? It's blacksmith's clothing in ALBW, and Kokiri in OoT.

That's Fado, she has a unique model because earlier in development she was supposed to be the sage of a scrapped Wind Temple (the fans in Forest Wing of Ganon's Castle are a leftover of this.)
