I think I have the repack, because mine takes forever to load too, and it had a shit load of mods and shit in the folder already, but there's still mods that I'm missing for some characters that I download, and sometimes installing the new shit works, other times it doesn't.

There's always a big laggy stutter period when you start up a save because the game's optimized like shit. Once things start moving normally again though, it's fine. There's some mods out there that make that period go by faster.
