Konami is fucked. They may survive and even thrive financially for the next decade (not by making any good games though), but their public image is getting ruined and they totally deserve it. Within a few years most gamers will see Konami as dead and gone. To some of us Konami is already dead.

All games are made to make a profit, the difference is Konami doesn't want to make GOOD games in order to get that profit. They want to make bad, shitty mobile games, and pachinko crap. They don't want anyone within the company to work on great games anymore.

And if you're thinking too much and putting too much effort into a game or try to make it interesting, then you'll get reported on and demoted and/or fired. And nowadays the devs are intentionally physically separated from each other and discouraged from communicating with each other, to ensure that each dev only works on his specific job (be it music, some specific graphics things, coding, etc)... which the end result of is: they can't work as a traditional game dev team always have, close-knit and in contact with each other and sharing ideas etc, which leads to the game being bad. But this saves money somehow, so therefore the Konami higher ups want it that way.

Agreed. It's the same thing that people say with ground zeroes, it's a vertical slice, therefore will always be more amazing than a full length project can hope to be.

if you enjoy stealth games with lots of wacky mechanics to toy around with, absolutely. The story is a jumbled mess however.
Konami definitely had some beef against Kojima, but Kojima is also a narcissistic hack who shouldn't have been so condescending towards others' projects outside of his own games.

Konami never owed you anything, you stupid fucking retard. They're a business, and it's now known that kojima abused his position to undermine other titles being developed at the time by diverging money away from them and back to his own work. If kojima was such a kind and brilliant man, why the fuck twould they fire him even though MGSV was a financial success? There was evidently enough going on that he had to be dismissed, and Konami can re-orientate their business as they see fit. In other words, they didn't do anything wrong.
Park Tool is a business too, what's your point??
It's the best stealth game out there that isn't MGS3 and overall just a really a good action game.
