This worries me, I hope they mean adding games and not taking away from it.
Imagine if Rare Replay for Switch included all the same games + Donkey Kong 64, Diddy Kong Racing, and Starfox Adventures.

It would probably be very heavily reedited (ie only the Nintendo owned games, XBLA BK-BT ports swapped out for emulated N64 originals, GB/GBA games added in) but the Switch's hardware is about Xbox360 level anyways

You could only do dual screens if you're willing to sacrifice the portability

That makes no sense user, we already got Cuphead and Ori, Both of which have Microsoft Studios credited on them and are on Switch.
I don't think MS is thinking it needs to protect their original Xbox exclusives.

There were Wii U VC layouts that just had both screens up at one which they could use

All I really want right now is a Switch WarioWare. It was wonderful to see the WarioWare community actually being alive for once back when Gold came out, and the threads on here about the game were really fun. Really, I just want them to build off of Gold's strengths and continue having the characters be fully-voiced, it really helped them all stand out for themselves compared to previous entries in the series.
However, a new Wario Land or Wario World would be even more hype. I can dream...

Technically, yes. I doubt Microsoft would port over most of their Xbox 360 era games though, on the Xbox One version of Rare Replay they all ran through the backwards compatibility wrapper and weren’t native ports.
Going back, grabbing the source code for and/or reverse engineering over 9+ relatively old games (Including Kazooie/Tooie and Perfect Dark, as those were 360 remasters as well), getting them to run on the Switch and packaging them in a (possibly) $30 bundle would be quite an expensive feat.

It still suffers crashes after a couple matches on the Xbone this many years after it released, can only pray a Switch port wouldn't have the same issue.

That’s the pattern for the most part. If we get anything before the end of the month it’s an astral chain direct right before release.

Pretty much impossible; it’s been (vaguely) stated by the Xbox BC team in the past that the Xbox One hardware contains to some degree a subset of the 360’s feature set built into the console with backwards compatibility in mind. The Switch wouldn’t have this, it also doesn’t have an X86 processor (It uses ARM) which would make getting the wrapper to run on it realistically impossible.

I don’t understand why they haven’t done so already. They released sacred stones as part of the ambassador program for the 3ds. They also released the original NES and SNES fire emblem game on the JP virtual console for thre 3ds, but hey never brought them to the west despite awakening and birthright/conquest selling like hot cakes in the west.
