I still don't know how to build for shotguns.
I beartrapped a man and his dogs but do they call me the beartrapper? No
I acid melted five rathounds and my two teammates in one turn, but do them call me the acidman? No
I loaded a man with three types of poisons and let the crowd watch them eat him from the inside out, but do they call me the poisoner? No
But throw one nade at a bunch of bugs... and they call me Super Bomberman for the rest of my life...
Isn't a game built around trial and error to get the optimum results just a bad game that wastes your time?
I killed Death Stalkers and Crawlers and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.
Snekrocks are not far behind either.
I would say most encounters with a decent build are not trial and error. However there are definitely fights that feel more like a puzzle game than an RPG. However when I am running around and exploring I am able to clear 90% of encounters without trying and reloading.
Would you prefer Super Dyna Blaster?
I wish there were ground vehicles or some kind of packmule things. Jetskis have spoiled me.
