I actually deleted my physical copy of Hitman 2. Now I just play the digital demo version with the Hitman 1 Legacy Edition missions. I'm pretty sure that's not what the developers had in mind.
Paris>Sapienza>Colombia>Miami>Mumbai>Hokkaido>New York>Isle Sgail>Whittleton>Marrakesh>New Zealand>Colorado=Bangkok
Sniper maps: Siberia>Singapore=Himmelstein
Hokkaido > Sapienza > Whittleton > Paris > Miami > Sgail > Mumbai > Santa Fortuna > Colorado > New Zealand > ISA Training >>>> Marrakesh > Bangkok
Haven't played New York yet.
>deleted my physical copy
Hokkaido > Paris > Sapienza > Bangkok > Yacht Training > Whittleton Creek > Miami > Airbase Training > New Zealand > Marrakesh > Isle of Sgail > Mumbai > Colombia > Colorado
how can one list be so correct in some places and so wrong in others
>deleted my physical copy
I had both on my PS4, but they took up a ton of HDD space. I was more interested in the Hitman 1 missions more than the second game.
I'm playing this, DMC 3, or FFXIII-2 next from my backlog, which one do I do first, Yea Forums?
It's where I put Bangkok, isn't it? I don't understand why people hate Bangkok, it's really good. Some of the entire franchise's best levels have been in hotels, I don't know why this one draws so much ire.
Hitman
I wish there were more levels like Miami. Works well for rampages
Partly Bangkok, because personally I can't stand the way the sickly yellow sunset looks (the Patient Zero Bangkok is way better because it's comfy nighttime) and the hotel rooms being underutilized besides the opportunity where you clean up the penthouse or go into the MILF's room for the mic.
Mostly I don't know why Colombia is so low on your list, I loved it.
Ok, I think I'm going to play dmc. Thanks though.
Agreed the night version better, but I still like the sunset version too. If we're ranking Patient Zero levels, the night version of Marrakesh I'd rank at number 2, it's beautiful and extremely immersive.

h2
Miami > Vermont > Ark Society > Mumbai > Colombia
Are you homesick for Blood Money?
WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE COLOMBIA
I wouldn't call any of the levels in Hitman 2 bad, Colombia is just the weakest of the bunch, it's still a good level though. Personally I find Mumbai worse than Colombia because the mission stories in it are too scripted and designed around the mission marker bullshit. There's no reasonable way for a player to figure out how to do those mission stories without just letting the game give you exact instructions on how to do it (the worst of this is having to call Dangan in one but you need to use some random telephone on the street with absolutely nothing setting it apart from the rest of the environment so there's no way to find it naturally).
So what does the expansion pass (PS4) actually give you? I bought it while under the effect of alcohol on a lonely night but I can't for the life of me figure out where to fucking download my content apart from new york. Downloading he actual pass doesn't actually do anything and I can't find a comprehensive list of all the content included
Come the fuck on IO
New York and some sniper map are all that's been released so far. There's gonna be another 2 full maps I believe as well. Next one is some sort of tropical island.

Special Assignments
New York
"The Resort" (upcoming location)
Hantu Port (sniper map)
Siberia (sniper map)
some item packs not worth mentioning
and Special Assignments, which are quite literally elusive targets being paraded as bonus missions
I see. Somehow I wasn't able to dowload any piece of this content in the game itself, and it wasn't under the dlc tab on the ps4 dashboard, so I had to individually search for the new york and the "special assignment" missions on the ps store. That was a pretty obtuse process.
It might be IO's fault but I'd be more inclined to think it's sony bein a shit. The PSN has always been pretty dogshit.
Three targets, fucking massive mission area. They're all spread out in separate corners of the map. It's not the type of mission you'd want to replay, it can be a chore to complete. Mumbai suffers from the same problem, but at least there are a bunch of methods to make targets meet each other in that mission.
Yeah, on PS4 (and maybe Xbox too, I don't know) you have to manually and individually download Season Pass content from the PS store. I don't know why it's like that, on Steam my game just updates automatically.
Special Assignments? The hell are those? I only just played Siberia a few times since New York came out
>got the expansion pass for 14 bucks in a sale
>two sniper maps which are kinda fun but im not masochistic enough to grind them for level 20
>one actual sandbox map with one more coming
>"special assignments" that are utterly worthless like killing a big game hunter in a tiny corner of the santa fortuna map
wow im glad i got this on sale, can't believe full price is 40 bucks for this shit.
Eh I dunno I shit on the psn on the regular but I think this one is on IO's. All the games I have installed have a dlc tab where you can see the downloaded content, and content you don't have is under a "show more" tab even for season passes like for DBFZ, except for hitman.
I also failed the new elusive target, I am now PLATINUM MAD
Honestly I can see your point. Going to the coca fields is a pain in the ass now that I think about it. Normally I just pick him off with a silver baller and run back into the mansion grounds so I can have fun around the mansion
>playing elusive targets
Don't encourage them.
muh suits though
I swear I'll stop once I get the ones I want
columbia is the best mission imo
Special Assignments are bite-sized missions. They're elusive targets repurposed into permanent missions. They promised bonus missions in the season pass, realized they didn't have the man power to create them, so slapped these in instead. It's the reason why there have been a lack of Hitman 2 elusive targets.
Take a look at the mission briefings, the elusive target symbol appears on multiple occasions youtube.com
Sapienza is so overrated. Especially dealing with the virus just brings the whole level down
Honestly, this user nailed it Though I would put New York in high or God tier and add the Icon version of Sapienza to high tier.
Why is Paris considered god tier to a lot of you?
all you do is shoot the stalactite and fuck off to the plane, its easy and not nearly the amount of hassle colorado was or whittleton still is with the clue shit.
It's just a really pleasant looking level
I don't know, I think Dino Bosco needs a more varied routine to place it that high.
>WAS THAT ROBOT TRYING TO LIGHT MY CIGARETTE?
>I'M NOT ASKING MUCH - JUST A FREAKING INFERNO
>COME OOOOON, FEEL THE STORY
>WAIT, ARE WE ROLLING? YOU HAVE TO TELL ME. ALRIGHT, ACTION!
I only played it a few times but everything he says is ingrained into my head
Yeah honestly I expected some remixes of 2's maps like the movie set in sapienza but it's a shame they are struggling with their resources, I hope they don't just go under after they drop the resort map.
It hits the Goldilocks zone of verticality, tiers of restricted access, maneuverability, openness, opportunity, etc.
It's a quintessential Hitman level imo. I can't really think of a place where it falls short
You're right, I thought about it a little more after posting. Good times playin' it.
>I hope they don't just go under after they drop the resort map.
they had a big article in a danish site about how they were almost bankrupt when they got free of squenix and then posted record profits shortly thereafter. TM 1 saw its userbase go from 2 million to over 16 million, but that was autumn of 2018, it might be back to bad times now but they seem to know what they're doing.
Wasn't that bump because of idling/cards? I'm sure Hitman got them around the time they hit those huge playercounts
So I recently finished Silent Assassin as my first Hitman game. It was good shit, but I got to ask where to go from here. All the full releases are like $60 on PSN and I don't want to pay that much for a game released in "episodes". They also had the Blood Money + Absolution two pack for that price as well, but I've heard that Absolution isn't that good, so I don't even know. Any of these cheaper physical?
You should watch the noclip documentary that covers that time period, releasing the first mission for free along with the full game all at once has been a godsend for the company and practically saved it after they laid off half the staff after the squeenix split, according to the devs hiTMan 1 hasn't been succesful because people would just wait for the full game to release and/or forget about it when it was all said and done.
>because people would just wait for the full game to release
thats what i did with TM1 because episodic can just fuck right off. im glad they didn't do it with 2 which i bought much sooner.
You just missed the PSN summer sale where Hitman 2 Gold was $40 and Hitman 2016 GOTY was like $10 - 15.
Wait for a fall, winter, or publisher/franchise sale for a deep discount off the base prices.
Hokkaido > Sapienza > Mumbai > Paris > Miami > Sgail > Santa Fortuna > Bangkok > Whittleton > Marrakesh > Colorado
Shit. Forgot New York.
Hokkaido > Sapienza > Mumbai > Paris > Miami > Sgail > New York > Santa Fortuna > Bangkok > Whittleton > Marrakesh > Colorado
Mumbai > Miami > Sapienza > Hokkaido > Paris > Whittleton > Colombia > Sgail > NZ > Marrakesh > Bangkok > Colorado
Haven't played NY yet
>Mumbai in top 3
My niggas. Walking through those crowded streets with the comfy evening sun was kino.
New York is a comfy small map with a great atmosphere but they give you too many tools and routes to make it easy. I'd rank it high just for the fun factor of the level though, especially with contracts mode.
