Just finished Nier Automata Ending E and I'm fucking lost. Like near the end there's a ton of BS I'm like supposed to know but was never shown in game. There's like fucking logs and VN styled cutscenes up the wazoo. Did the developers ran out of time or is it just Japs being bad at coherent storytelling? And dont tell me to read some Novel or hear some CD Drama or some other jap exclusive bullshit. The only good thing about the game was the gameplay, music and 2B ass but the fucking story? Total garbage! Definitely not a 10/10 game IMO.

Game had a solid combat system with decent accessibility and skill expression. 2B has one of the most memorable designs in video game history (and yes sex appeal contributes to that). The setting is rather unique in interesting with a banging soundtrack the whole way through. The "story" is less of a narrative and more of a philosophical observation of the androids situation.
If its not your thing its whatever, but Automata is a good game.

Hey, glad you agree man. The games combat system surely isnt anything like dmc, but it has plenty of room for creativity as well as weapon swapping midcombo and fun juggling.
I played the game with her skirt on the entire time and thought she looked great. There is a reason shes been one of the most popular cosplays since her release despite there being plenty of other sexualized characters to choose from.

No, it's a misnomer. Don't think of them as endings but chapters/milestones in the main story. You pick up where you left off, with the exception of route B.

I only heard of the first Nier with the dickgirl, old dude and the wacky doll cover. I heard it was a really mediocre game so I did not played it and I sure as hell never even heard of Drakensomething. Cause I heard Nier Automata was standalone and was like the best game ever even voted with the likes of Breath of the Wild and Chrono fucking Trigger by Famitsu's readers. I was like shit I need to play this game. I like Platinum character action games so I was like fuck it, if I see it on sale I get it for PC. I mean the game played well enough. It was a bit more simplistic compared to the likes of Bayonetta or MGR but it still has that Platinum feeling to it. The soundtrack is certainly 10/10 and the art direction is top notch. But the fucking story is a mess. It aint Kingdom Hearts level of shit of course but it certainly was filled with the usual modern JRPG shallow deep shit.

Is NieR: Automata overrated? Absofuckinglutely. Is it a bad game? Not by any means. It could be better, of course, but I think it's a solid game with a pretty good story and a kickass soundtrack.
