They need to do something fresh, they feel like they already burned out, last time i played was on mw3, and i was barely having fun, when they fucked up the campaign on black ops 3 and then they went full space and future warfare i left, when to battlefield for a while, until i noticed that real warfare games are still far in the distance, we need something like Battlefield Bad Company 2 with destruction on a way larger scale, i am talking about mowing down entire cities, falling skyscrapers everywhere like in a true modern war, vessels on the ocean firing up tomahawks on certain positions, aerial warfare, boots on the ground, 100 players fucking around an entire city daaaamn but i guess i am asking too much. Either way, i was hoping this game would continue where MW3 left, but noooo, its a re imagined modern warfare...well there goes for me at least.

I think that could work if the game was just one map. Take BF4's Shanghai map and remake it so that every building can be destroyed, but only develop that map so it delivers a good experience.

I don't grudge anyone for enjoying speedball, but it sure fucking kills my desire to play the game when there's no variety in gameplay styles per map. The smaller tight combat maps like Wetwork or Vacant had decent variety still to them but were largely focused on movement through the tight spaces and weapon loadouts to match this. The larger maps like Overgrown or Downfall or Derail or Wasteland instead had positional pushes, mixes of ranges and tightness, and sniping viabiliity. Meanwhile there were shit tonnes of maps in between like Downpour or Pipeline or Crash that were midrange and offered a big variety in what you could viably do on them because they were more organic environments with offensive and defensive positions.

At this point it feels like all the devs want me to do is run back and forth between spawn points trying to push the opponent and eventually because there's always like 3 access points to your flanks and back at all times (on purpose by design) you just get blindsided and die.

God like a broken record. Maps like Quarry,Overpass, Canal sure are amazing maps MW2 fags like yourself are mentally challenged

Everyone argues over this shit but in reality the maps in MW2 played extremely well in TDM becasue it gave people a purpose and things to fight over and it makes a regular match of TDM mean something. It's not really blown out of proportion when it's the only map type and completely uncreatively done.

Sweetspot maps like Overgrown were three "lanes", but the lanes had paths between them, structures and sections within them, and varieties of situations created by the terrain. They were interactive in better ways. Each "lane" offered different gameplay styles an outlet. They had open sections for firefights, they had closed structures for defensive positions, they had tall grass for stealth, and they had interplay between them where you'd quickly move through tricky transitional spots between lanes, with multiple options between them.

The removal of options is really what has killed modern CoD to me, because where in the past there was options in how you wanted to play, what paths to take through an environment, risk/reward, etc, now it feels like you really only have a single option set in front of you by the devs.

Dust 2 and Mirage are some of the most interesting and best balanced FPS maps precisely because they have just enough options so you can't cover them all but not enough so that randomly picking one is likely to result in success.

Maps that are too open are almost always too exploitable by the attacking side, maps that are too closed or too easy to rotate in end up being too exploitable by the defending side. It just so happens that the "3 lane" or "4-cloverleaf" design is the best balance for 5v5 gameplay.

game feels like battlefield but with COD-tier movement. it's not floaty and swift like Black Ops 4 or most COD's, but it's not too stiff like Battlefield either. It's a good balance tbqhwy senpapys.

no mini map in 2v2's feels right, maps are compact so it doesn't take much to gauge where enemies are, not sure how this is going to translate with larger teams though.

guns feel amazing and the new sights/sights mechanic looks worse than it actually is. i thought the optics when you aimed down sights looked awkward in videos, but it all works fine once you get used to it.

guns have recoil you have to manage and it's not crazy but it's not easy either. its good shit fahm.

they do have crazy range, but they're slow and there's a slight delay after pulling the trigger with them so it kinda balances out.

General gameplay feels like Insurgency Sandstorm but actually good. 2v2 seems good to play in small bursts.
