Admit it, you couldn't beat him.
Admit it, you couldn't beat him
...pfft..... PHHTHTHTHT.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I beat him on my first go because I just ran around him, waiting for his attacks to whiff and then countering him. I hadn't figured out that you can parry almost anything yet (which fucked me up on bull, let me tell you that).
I think I beat the first one on my first try. The second one kept killing me with grab attacks, though.
Just hit him between attacks. This is stone age video game strats.
>throw oil at him
>set him on fire
>use attack candy that you get 1 of early on (+ divine confetti for the version later in the game) and smash his face
>win
Wowee
That cunt was literally the biggest challenge in the entire game to me. Although he did do a good job of teaching me the mechanics.
I beat him after strenuously trying. Then I got stuck on the samurai general after him, beat him, and then got stuck on that fucker with a horse. Haven't gotten back to the game since, still try to play it slow and methodical instead of like Rising. Which fucks me up because From never managed to stop their animations from being clunky even after they stopped making Armored core games.
>Everyone hypes op Sword Saint Isshin
>Beat him in 2 tries (had to use all of my healing items and a dragon tear though)
>Get fucked by demon of hatred
I thought the first pagoda ministry ninja was worst, especially before you got attack and posture upgrades.
nigger
He was tough, but after flailing about for 4 or 5 tries I killed the fucker
Demon of Hatred was a dick move because he just straight up went against everything you learned.
Isshin was hard for me, that second stage was fucking brutal man.
Is it literally that easy to beat him?
I always felt Isshin was super fair. If you've mastered the combat system, he'll be a tough but not insurmountable challenge. Like the only people who had serious problems with him were the ones who cheesed fights or leaned too heavily on firecracker+ichimonji.
>I always felt Isshin was super fair. If you've mastered the combat system, he'll be a tough but not insurmountable challenge.
This. Isshin is basically the final exam for Sekiro's combat (like how Genichiro at Ashina Castle is essentially a skill check to make sure you're picking things up at a decent speed). DoH on the other hand is just a Bloodborne boss transplanted into a game that doesn't accommodate it
>Game states that enemies with red eyes hate fire
>I happen to have an item that produces fire
Hmm, what should I do to this red-eyed boss?
HE GOT STUCK ON GYOUBU ONIWA XD WHAT A FUCKING NOOB GIT GUDDD
I went into this game blind and beat this guy on my first or second try (don't remember). My friend on the other hand hyped him up without spoilers and I was like "wait lol are you serious? i just beat him"
Jesus christ.
>COME, SEKIRO
>beat him second try
Lightning reversal trivialized it. I’m sure I’d get bodied without Kuro’s charm though.
What a dick.
1st playthrough was a breeze, currently doing ng+ charmless and holy shit does the game play differently. Can't spam LB anymore, have to actually memorize patterns. This should be the default mode. also fuck snake eyes, how does their gun in melee deal 3 times the damage of genichiro's katana
I don't care about none of what you people are saying, this fight was hype
I'll admit it, biggest early hurdle for me. Probably took me about 30+ tries and forced me to learn how to play the game properly.
Every other fight with him later was a pushover though. I think Sword Saint Ishhin was the only thing that took me longer to beat overall.
It was basically Father Gascoign all over again, it was so hard for me because I sucked and I was playing the game wrong.
I beat him without dying because I don’t have room temperature IQ, played hirata estate first because it’s more interesting, and used fire in him because the game tells you to in like three separate places
Just buy the RPG and fire at him while the dog distracts him. Hopefully you did rescue the dog.
Pretty easy.
Yeah, the first couple times when I tried to doge like the game told me. Once I realized that jumping evades as good as every fucking grab he became childs play.
Horse guy is just spam deflect.
But I just beat the first Genichiro fight on Monday?
>Isshin killms me over a dozen times
>DoH is dead on my second try
Sometimes it just werks.
filtered by the chained ogre
>Everyone who played the demo went up against this guy
>Literally all of them ended up relying on fire
>Decide to buck up and not use fire
>Kill it
Who else enjoys the feeling of not being bad at video games? I really did enjoy this game.
This guy was a fucking joke
