How can a series that's been around this long have zero good games in it?

Danganronpa is a quintessential weeb franchise now, all three main games are considered at least decent by the vast majority of people who played them, and the people who like the peculiar style of the franchise love the games. It will be continued to discussed for years to come, like Persona or Umineko

They're all pretty good. Anything similar to them? I played Phoenix Wright games but they don't have characters as good as DR, plus, the games are too grounded in reality to have some of the cool things that happen in DR

>First case
1-1 is sorta okay in regards to characters, but is so laughably easy, the more shocking 2-1 and V3-1 are far better.
2-1 killed off what was believed to be a returning character with a case on the same level as the late cases of the first game, and V3-1 did the same but with a main character.
>Second case
2-2 has by far the emotions behind it. The case itself is also solid, hardly any flaws within its writing.
1-2 is also good. If you were doing Chihiro's FTEs (like me) it also has a lot of emotional weight, it has a good amount of reveals, and again, the case is solid.
While V3-2 has a solid enough case, the characters, dramatics and emotions all fall flat. Ryoma doesn't get his time to shine and Kirumi has no real character. The reveal is also fucking retarded, not helped by NISA's translation.
>Third Case
2-3 is objectively the worst here. Mikan's motivation is exactly the same as Junko's, and Junko purposefully had no motivation. Ibuki's death comes after a lot of scenes where you get to know her and Hiyoko goes through an entire chapter where she is absolutely pathetic, which helps the emotional punch, but Hiyoko needed development. She got killed off early, it should've been Akane or Souda instead, since they had development set up but it never happened.
V3-3 is great. Makes up for the contriveness of Tenko's death with sheer charisma from Tulpaman.
1-3 is mediocre.
>Fourth Case
V3-4 works the best. It is really obvious in story who the killer is, but everybody is in denial because Kokichi is standing there laughing. But, because of this, it's the easiest.
1-4 is the second most emotional, showing how much Sakura's death effected Asahina.
2-4 is the smartest, but Nekomaru being brought back to die makes it fall flat.
Running out of characters, so I'll rank the last two.
2-5 > V3-5 > 1-5
V3-6 >2-6 > 1-6
